This place was awesome! I was mainly here for diving and Dressel divers out of Iberostar made the trip for me. The only negative thing I have to say is I’m an exterminator and I noticed the beds had old evidence of bedbugs, would be nice if they replaced the mattresses for how much we paid. Most people wouldn’t see this. I also saw what looked like a German cockroach in the Mexican restaurant dining room on property at Iberostar. Another thing to note is one of the restaurant’s was completely closed down for renovations which was kinda annoying. The buffet food was mid. Even with those things I give this place 5 stars. My wife and I had a wonderful time. The property is absolutely gorgeous. Diving operation right out of the resort. Flamingos, iguanas, Coatis, Turtles, and more wildlife hanging out around the resort. Beach was a little rocky but still beautiful and free of sargassum. Amazing palms. Good drinks. All in all it was a very good time and I would definitely return. Triple check your rooms and make time to go into town to eat out you will have an amazing time.

This property is gorgeous - there are smaller "bungalows" with four rooms downstairs and four above. The bungalows are scattered between the lobby/main dining area and the pool/beach area. They are set in a beautiful tropical jungle setting kept "natural" and yet manicured to be perfectly landscaped. There is a lot of wildlife! The dedicated dive center offers dive trips multiple times a day with several boats each time so this is a very popular place for divers. They also do a terrific snorkel trip. The beach/ocean area is beautiful Caribbean Sea - rocky along the shore, but the pier has steps down into the ocean where you can get in more easily. There are a TON of fish right under the pier - so a short snorkel is perfect there. There is a lot of boat traffic near the pier so you can not swim outside the buoys snorkel a great distance out. You can walk down the beach a way to find more snorkeling. We found the room to be very comfortable with strong A/C, plenty of space to put your belongings, a nice sized bathroom with walk in shower, and a mini fridge that they will restock for you. The all inclusive makes eating easy and there are several restaurants to choose from. There are many activities to choose from or you can just relax. There are not a lot of "beach front" rooms. Our room was one of the furthest back but it was quiet and relaxing away from the pool and beach, close to the gym and restaurants. Easy to walk to the beach. We look forward to going back!

Check in was very bad. Reserved a specific room which was not ready until after 4pm. Check in manager was very rude and raised her voice to me. My husband spoke to the hotel manager about it. We have stayed there 3 times so far for scuba diving but I will not be back.

The friendliness, attentiveness and overall good vibes from the staff were likely the highlight of the trip. Breakfast buffet was great, lunch options by the pool were outstanding, especially Maria’s tacos and quesadillas, those were probably the best food we had during our stay! Unfortunately, dinner was not great and there’s room for improvement there in terms of quality and variety.

The rooms were fairly clean, however, there was poop on the front of the bowl of our toilet prior to our arrival. It was never cleaned. All other housekeeping services were really good. The food was TOO good! The only less than great food I had was during breakfast. The pancakes, waffles, etc were always extremely dry. All other food was amazing!! The steak was exceptionally tender and delicious, as well as the chicken legs and thighs. The pool and beach were amazing! Such a pretty view! The only concern that I had was that there were very frequently cups, plates, etc. left laying around the pool area for numerous hours. Sometimes even overnight. Great place, we definitely plan to go again someday.

I come here for the fantastic diving. Dressel divers are on location which is very convenient. I paid for an upgraded room near the beach which was very comfortable. The food is very good in the main restaurant but I wouldn't recommend the smoke house. It was poor. The other restaurant location near the pool is currently under construction so the peace is sometimes interrupted by the sound of chain saws and nail guns! There was no notification of this unfortunately. The staff are wonderful. Always happy and friendly. The mosquito control is excellent. I didn't get a single bite...and they love me!

Very nice property - beautiful. Plenty of pool and beach chairs. Staff friendly and accommodating. Clean rooms, property, pool and beach. Ocean entry from beach is dead coral, so swim shoes/socks are needed. There is a pier with steps to enter the water and there are fish for snorkeling. Dressel Drivers are on site for booking water sports. Nightly entertainment is LOTS OF FUN!!! Top shelf drinks! Food is very good. Wildlife is excellent! We booked a Jr Suite that slept 4. Private bedroom with barn style sliding door to living room that makes a separate bedroom. Flat screen TVs in both rooms. Walk-in closet with safe in master bedroom and a deck with chairs, table and hammock.. Living room had sofa-bed, table and chairs and minifridge (beer and soda). and entry to the only bathroom, which is a very nice bathroom with shower only. There are refillable water stations pretty much everywhere. We've stayed at many Iberostar Reports (multiple in Cancun, Playa Del Carmen and Tulum and Dominican Republic) and would return. Flight in was great even with the Government/TSA shutdown BUT missed our connecting flight outbound due to Dallas ground stop. Had to get a hotel and fly out the next day. I will give props to our American Airline Rep who took care of our luggage, gave us info on where to stay and got us booked for the next flight home. She even taped up our damaged bag (totaled) - bc of her we didn't loose any belongings.
