The hotel staff are true genuine people. Spent two weeks here, felt very safe. The back of the hotel faces wooded area with wildlife. Great morning entertainment. The beach is literally a walk down the driveway and across the street. The hotel is in town but out of town, about a two minute walk. People are friendly and speak some English. Great location.

The area around the hotel was definitely sketchy. We checked in and they had reservations for 2 nights which was incorrect and made us pay in cash. The room itself was spacious but there were no towels and a bed was missing a blanket, the only thing covering the sliding door was a blanket that was too short to cover the entire window/sliding door. You could move the door frame if you pulled hard enough. The sheets were incredibly stained but seemed clean. I did not feel safe at all but stayed because my entire family was exhausted and it was too late to look for something else. Ive stayed in many mexican hotels, and this was one of the worst.

My son had problems breathing during my first night. My wife, a nurse, suspects black mold poisoning which is found in the unventilated bathroom. The picture in the ad shows a complete roof but it is incomplete. We arrived to constructions of an additional floor. We woke to workers hammering at 5:30AM. I ask for refund for remaining 2 nights only to be told I would not get one. This appears to be a very disrespectfully owed company. They would rather me write a TRUTHFUL and negative review than to give my money back. So extremely disappointed. I am hoping Expedia will step in to cover my lost cost, but guessing it is unlikely due to fine print etc. Avoid this hotel unless you like to have no sleep on hard beds and be woken early to noise and risk your your health do to black mold exposure.

Great location near beach, quiet and close to town. Great pool. Friendly staff. Tiny bugs on kitchen counter every day. Asked for room to be cleaned every 2 days but didn't happen so on third day asked again and all they did was empty the garbage and make the bed. So no fresh towels and no cleaning. Kitchen is poorly equipped - no dish cloth or dish towel or dish soap, had to ask for a coffee maker, no matches for gas stove, no table knives, no toaster. Secure parking but limited space and tight. WIFI is weak and only available near office.

Room was clean, but very plain. Should be noted that electricity for AC operates between 8pm and 8am, not really a issue because beach is 3 min walk away. facilities such as pots and pans are limited but ok for very simple meals. No water stoppers for dish or wash sink. Hot water to shower only but plentiful. No face cloths which is typical in all Mexican economical hotels. Lovely beach and many day restaurants within a 3 min walk. Some no-seeums in early morning and evening [bring repellant] typical in all tropical beach areas. TV is sketchy, Wifi good close to front of building. No cell service at hotel but excellent at beach, probably due to mountain at back of motel. Overall very adequate for short stays but far from luxury accommodations [if that is what you are expecting]. Taxi service easily available. Los Ayalas is a very sleepy little village but close La Poineeta which is larger. Room was small and AC is loud so bring ear plugs if you have sleeping issues.

The only good thing about our visit was Roberto. He did his best to make our stay better. We booked what the owner confirmed was a wheelchair accessible room, however the bathroom is anything but accessible. It is impossible to get a wheelchair into the bathroom and both rooms shown to us at check in had identical bathroom design. We had to leave after one miserable night and no refunds whatsoever were given. It is a small hotel and VERY loud music started from an upper floor at 4:15 am. It came from the owners room, however the owner denied this and said it came from the room next door. Even is this was true, one would expect the owner to shut down the music at that early hour. Unbelievable! In addition, our kitchenette had no knives, no matches to start the stove burner, no coffee maker. These items were provided on request. The air conditioning was supposed to be available after 8 pm. It was not. We were told in the morning that 'someone' must have forgotten to turn it on. The walls in the room are literally coated with dust. The beds were comfortable however the music woke us up. This could be a better place if it was appropriately managed. Overall, if you choose to stay here, it's inexpensive and you certainly get what you pay for. I have stayed in far cleaner and better managed places in the area for a similar price.
