Margaritaville Island Reserve Riviera Cancún - A Karisma All-Inclusive Experience for All

Day 1 we arrived and were given a tour from a concierge and checked in and was given an opportunity to pick from a romantic dinner or couple massage and then if we don’t use. We get $100 towards our room. Dinner was ok night 1. During the live music I went to the ladies room where the door knob fell off and locked me in the bathroom. For 15 min I banged and screamed for help. It wasn’t till my bf went looking for me and had a woman check the bathrooms did she have to let me out. FYI during this day I got 3 visits and 2 phone calls to pay and pre book a massage for an extra fee. I finally snapped as I felt like I was being harassed. Day 2 we had dinner reservations to the only OTHER restaurant. That is correct. They only have 2 restaurants for dinners. 2 for lunches. And 1 for breakfast. Dinner at Latino was by far the worst food at the report. So bad. Day 3 we took an uber to Puerto Morales for dinner and had an amazing meal. At no time did I get drunk……… All meals have up charges for extra money to have better food. The hotel is a time share selling hotel so come to find out I had to pay for the Taco Party and wasn’t allowed to use the $100 package I was given at the start because I didn’t sit through a time share presentation that I knew nothing about. Don’t forget the bug spray !!! I look like I have the chicken pox from whatever bugs are at the main bar. Bath tubs don’t have hot water. Oh yes and in our suite the door to the bedroom fell off twice!

It was amazing!! The cleanest hotel we’ve been too in Cancun, this was our 3rd time going to Cancun. The food was also the best. The atmosphere is so calm. Right on the beach and more private than the hotel zone. The staff were great all over from front to the restaurants, the bars, just walking around. I would definitely come again!

Terrible variety of food, animals over the foods, no activities never, no AC en non buffet, hipocresy over claiming. 21/2 star hotel

The food was very good at this location. The vibes are very unique and nice. The hotel does a great job by hosting nice activities during the day and night. Highly recommend, would come back to it again

We had an excellent stay here. The resort was beautiful, small, and quiet. The food was unimpressive, but it was all included, so we can’t complain. The room upgrade they offered us was too expensive, and I wouldn’t do it again the future. I would stay here again though. Overall, it’s a beautiful property!

Excellent All Inclusive Resort. The staff was very professional and welcoming. Food options were great and always fresh. Drinks were tasty and there’s always something to do.

Small, quiet and relaxing resort! Stayed for 5 nights and that was perfect, wouldn’t have wanted to stay any longer as there are only a few places to eat and there wasn’t much more to experience. Food was good. Cold shower water was not ideal. Stinky seaweed on the beach (I know not much can be done about this). I would call this to be a 3.5 star resort

This was our 6th visit in last couple years, and our last. Too many little Changes and issues that now stacked up make this very average stay. Whether be the limited items in joes merchant (no more American candies and chips, no Diet Coke just less). Or when Rita’s had no steak shrimp or fish, or the BBQ prime cuts steak night that never occurred and no one had a clue when asked and showed their app promo as to why. The garbage left on top of a can on the beach for an entire day, or the lack of servers taking drinks orders but had 6 ladies selling massages. My room service order of ham turkey club that arrived as ham and fried egg, and less room service options (no drinks like sodas). Changed beer distributor so lost Tecate beer. Each item not a huge deal just too many that we won’t come back. And 6 visits no staff seemed to care, most looked Away when passing. As if a new owner manager is in place and not for the better. If they maintain this I would hope the rates would drop as what is now offered and delivered is below what they lost the rooms for. Adding one image to show again little thing as on website menu they cannot even spell lobster properly (lonster).

The layout of the property was lovely. The rooms all had verandas which offered a beach view or a pool view. The rooms are decorated with beach themes. It is family friendly. The employees are very friendly, attentive and helpful. We enjoyed the smoothie bar and the various restaurants. Our favorite was the taco bar.

Help was great. Room was great . They just have to have beach house restaurant open every night for dinner. .I personally don't like eating buffet on the beach waiters and bar staff was top notch.

I loved the property. It was beautiful. Need more adult only activities.

The food needs to be improved. Too inconsistent. The staff is incredible. Please get rid of seaweed earlier in the day. Better snacks for the room not enough selection.
