The location is excellent; the historical center is right downstairs. However, there are homeless people on one side of the subway station below the hotel at night, and the police only on main street , so be careful. When we returned to the hotel from there, the homeless asked for money and threatened us.

We checked in Sunday February 8 , lobby is sub par kinda clean, underwhelming . Receptionists excellent friendly and attentive. We get our room on 2nd floor the balcony is tiny can barely stand on it nothing like the one I booked that showed one you can walk and sit out on. The room was very basic clean small no iron, hair dryer, no safe. I went down to front desk and after a couple minutes of back and forth the gave me a room on the 6 floor with a bigger walkout balcony, they only have a total of five of these rooms with the bigger balcony. Now we’re happy, we unpack and get ready to head out . One problem the door didn’t lock, it could just be pushed open with a little bit of force, room didn’t have a phone so we went downstairs again. They had maintenance meet us at room he confirmed the lock was broken . They moved us again to a room right next to the one we were in , that one was good except the slider to the balcony would not lock. Not sure if we’ll ever stay here again we usually stay at Hotel Morales. The view was amazing, the staff excellent everything else was average to below average including the breakfast buffet that we never touched and we were there for 9 nights.
