A friend and i had a 3 night stay with Riad Maizie. Prior to the trip i booked an airport transfer directly with them, i am very glad i did. The taxi arranged was good and took us as close as possible to the riad. We were greated by Youssef at this point and shown the way, meaning we did not wonder around, like others we saw going to their riads after arrival looking quite stressed, trying to figure out which way to go. It is tucked away and would be forgiven for not finding your way back, drop a pin in the location and google maps will solve this issue for you and you can return with no issues, or just ask a friendly local for help. It is located within easy walking distact of most places but so quiet at night i could not believe it! The riad was clean and had all we needed. We opted for food on arrival, which was probably the best of the tagines we tried whilst there. Communicating was easy with very fast responses so we could have everything organised prior to arrival, including a meal. The breakfast was filling and the coffee plentiful and fresh. Shampoo, conditioner and shower gel there for your use. We had a lovely sofa to sit on outside our rooms to wind down in the evening. Anyone wanting to stay in a riad that is clean but feels authentic with great service, i recommend staying here. 2 women travelling alone, we never felt unsafe there or in Marrakech at all.

Amazing Riad, peacefully tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the Medina. Beautifully decorated and furnished with a wonderful rooftop garden. Fantastic place to explore Marrakech.

Although quite close to the main road, the Riad was hard to find on first try! The recent earthquake had made the path go through a bit of a building site as there was a lot of work going on. The upside was that once in the Riad it was incredibly quiet... just what you need after the madness of the Marrakech Medina! Will is from London originally so English was no problem. The breakfasts were lovely and of course the mint tea is to die for! The room was great and the shower was hot. If you want a peaceful spot in Marrakech that is 8 minutes walk from the Main Square then this could be your best choice!

Once you are there, the size of it is more like a bed and breakfast. The host and help are excellent. The breakfast is good enough and the location is central. Good value.

My recent stay at Riad Maizie in Marrakech was disappointing on multiple fronts. Firstly, upon arrival, I was dismayed to discover that the hotel did not have the amenities advertised on the booking platform. Despite Hotel.com indicating the presence of a pool, there was none, leaving me unable to enjoy a refreshing swim during the hot days in Marrakech. Furthermore, the absence of a coffee machine or kettle meant that I couldn't even make a cup of tea in the morning until the staff served breakfast at the unreasonably late hour of 9 am. This delay in breakfast service is inconvenient for travelers eager to explore the city early in the morning. Moreover, the location of the hotel added to my dissatisfaction. The area felt unsafe and navigating through the labyrinthine old streets was challenging. It's easy to get lost, which left me feeling uneasy during my stay. Overall, my experience at Riad Maizie fell far short of expectations. I would not recommend this hotel to fellow travelers seeking a comfortable and convenient stay in Marrakech.

The Riad Maizie is very quirky with lots of art work and scattered cushions making it feel homely. There are lots of communal areas where you can sit. It is an oasis away from the hustle and bussle of the Medina

Overall my experience was ok! The Riad is located at the end of an alley even with google maps one would struggle! You need to go there a couple of times in order to remember the way! Raja, the lady working at the riad is lovely.

Riad Maizie is impossible to find without maps.me but once inside it is a glorious oasis amidst the craziness of the hustle and bustle (and mopeds) outside. It has wonderful authentic decoration and is really beautiful inside. The rooms and bathrooms are kept spotlessly clean by Raja who also makes a lovely breakfast each morning of coffee, fresh oj, yoghurt, olives, cheese triangles, breads and jam. There's a downstairs courtyard, a roof terrace and a middle floor mezzanine, all are shady and a wonderful temperature out of direct sun. Will, the owner, is working hard at getting the Riad to it's very best and we wish him every success

Riad Maizie was a truly wonderful experience. The riad was ornate, clean, and spacious and also had air conditioning, though I did not use it. Wi-Fi was strong and water for my shower was hot. Breakfast with Moroccan tea and assorted homemade breads was delicious. The owner did her best to assist me, though she does not speak English and I do not speak French. Note that this riad, like many riads in Marrakech, is down a narrow street with many twists and turns, some of them dead-ending. While Google maps knows generally where the riad is, it will not get you all the way there.

I had a very good experience in the riad. My room was clean and spacious and the whole place quiet, which was just what I needed considering how hectic and loud London, where I live, can be. The bed was very comfortable, too. Great staff and the owner makes excellent coffee. Wifi could be better though. Would definitely book again.

I had booked to stay here for 5 nights but upon arrival I found the place to be dingy, the host nonchalant, and the mattress dirty (I believe there were bed bugs but cannot be certain). I explained that I couldn’t stay due to the condition of the mattress and Will, the owner, seemed indifferent and began to defend the riad and its cleanliness. He then charged me 80 dirham for a taxi ride from the train station to his place. I was surprised by this because he had sent me an email stating someone would be there to pick me up (even though I hadn’t requested it) and he made no mention of the cost in his email. Furthermore, a fare from the train station to his place should have been maximum 30 dirham (I was not being picked up at the airport which is much further away). Again, Will became defensive saying he didn’t know how much a cab fare should be! He’s lived in the country for years and he doesn’t know the normal cab fare....? Very strange. I was happy to leave a short while later but, again, was dumbfounded that he wouldn’t show me the way out (it is quite a difficult maze to get to his riad). I travel often, have been to Morocco many times, and am well aware of different standards in different countries but this was unacceptable. Based on my short time in the riad and my interaction with Will, I do not recommend this place. I am really surprised by the other high review scores, but am happy that others enjoyed their time there.

Not a lot went well. Checking started nicely with tea and sweets. Things went downhill quickly from there. When the accommodations say restroom and shower included they mean shared in the hall. Remember to ask for a door that locks. Apparently, that’s not a given and you’re supposed to trust your neighbors. Also, when the description says A/C that doesn’t mean an A/C that actually turns on. The night before I literally slept in a tent with better accommodations than this. Don’t get fooled into thinking that a hosts that speaks English well means that the quality of the riad is any good.
