Firstly, staying in Sale means you get a more "step back in time" feeling. You won't see many other tourists on the streets, the market is authentic because it's used by the locals and you don't get hassled and the medina is fabulous (walking around the medina walls facing Rabat was a highlight of our trip). We drove so you need to figure out parking in advance (most Medinas in Morocco are pedestrian majority so Google maps can be sketchy). If you use public transport it's a bit of a walk, but there's an easy tram across the river and quaint rowboat services which many locals use. The Riad itself is family run and really sweet and so are the staff; helpful and friendly. I have only happy memories of Sale and would definitely recommend this place. Plus Hassan Chicken a few blocks away has gorgeous herb-stuffed rotisserie chicken!

This was our best Riad from the several we stayed in Morocco. Staff are very kind, breakfast is good. There were even fresh roses on the tables. Very clean Riad.

I was on a business trip and this hotel provided a very comfortable stay. The food was very tasty, the staff made you feel at home and something very important, the wi-fi worked very well throughout the hotel. If you want something different from the multinational expensive chains, this is highly recomended.

The Riad was beautiful but lacked atmosphere. There was a lack of friendliness and understanding when I discussed the 28euro extra tax. The room was advertised as 37euro. Felt a little scammed! The care factor from the staff was quite low. But if you can overlook the coldness of the place, then it is worth the stay.

Nice hotel in a quiet area of Sale. We enjoyed a five night stay all within walking distance of local attractions and amenities. Excellent accomodation in an en-suite room, very comfortable with friendly and helpful staff. Would recommend. We walked to the tram stop (10 minutes) to get into Rabat city very good value (60mdh) or walked down to the ferry across the river (2.5 mdh).

I am glad that we stayed here. It is about half hour walk from the train. It can be a bit tricky. I could not get help with the number that I had. The staff was nice enough. You have to know Morocco a bit to be comfortable here.

FIrst of all is the hotel hard to find. You nearly have to live in town to know the way, and most of the locals I asked about the way didn't know where the hotel is anyway. Secondly they advertise the room as 161 squaremeters. Well the room itself is no more than 2x5 m and the "bathroom" 1x4 m. Judge yourself how close to 161 that will be....Thirdly, where was the kettle??? The staff and owner doesn't speak a word of English so French or Arabic is the only way to talk to them. Lastly, and worst of all: when I lifted the cover of the inner bed to go to sleep, there was a large brownish wet circle on the sheet. The stank was awful since the cat of the house had been PEEING IN THE BED!!! It had climbed into the room by means of the tall plants outside the window facing into the patio. Is this how guests should be treated????

Great raid in Salé. Close to to tram to Rabat...about 15 minutes walking. We got in late and starving, and they take orders for dinner in the morning. Staff called a place for us and brought food in! Very sweet staff. They don't speak English though, if that is important to you.
