Upon arrival at Vilankulos airport, you are greeted/ received by the proprietor, Evelyn (you’ll meet her hubby, Fabio, later) and enjoy a 30 minute drive to their lodge. Immediately greeted by mgr, Reaz, upon arrival Lodge who’ll walk you to main reception where you’re greeted by Chelsea (the other mgr) waiting for you with refreshments & cold herbal infused towels to refresh with. A light lunch is offered while you catch your breath , before being led to your room where your luggage was delivered. After mgr Reaz walks you through room’s amenities you have about an hour to settle in before your first massage. A five course gourmet meal is dinner every night served promptly from 7pm to 9pm, where you catch up on your day with the very social owners, managers and staff. For us, the highlight of each day😊 Elena will organize any excursions and your day’s activities/ massages according to your desired level of activity. For fans of the show “White Lotus” , my husband and I thought this WORLD CLASS Lodge would be the e setting for another season😎 We’re only gone for one day and I already miss the owners, Elena & Fabio ( be sure to try his ‘bathtub martini😉), their Mgrs, Reaz & Chelsea and ALL their wonderful staff! For me, it was a very emotional departure 😘

We had a wonderful time at AsDunas! Well appointed rooms with beautiful views, clean beaches, cheap fun activities arranged by the hotel, lovely Italian food, excellent attention to detail, really well looked after by Chelsie and Elena. For the price we paid it was absolutely spectacular and was genuinely all inclusive, first time that we had no bill to pay at the end of an all inclusive stay! Thank you

We had the most amazing stay. Wonderfully comfortable accommodation in a brilliant location, with exceptionally welcoming hosts and staff.

We had the most amazing few days at asDunas Lodge. Fabio and Elena are lovely hosts. We were the only guests, due to the corona virus, so we had the entire place to ourselves. Sadly, our stay was cut short by 2 days due because of the lockdown happening in South Africa. The sea views from our tented chalet and the main house are stunning. Each tented chalet has its own small plunge pool and there is a larger pool at the main house - this is a great pool because you can get a proper workout swimming lengths of the pool!! All meals were amazing - Fabio and Elena enjoy mixing flavours and trying out combinations of foods. A lot of the food is home made - yoghurt, jams, pastas, juices, sauces - just to name a few. Nutritious and tasty. The staff are lovely and we had massages which are included in the price. We are definitely going back to asDunas Lodge.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Asdunas following our South Africa Safari celebrating my 30th Birthday, and we have to say that it far exceeded all of our expectations. Everything about this luxurious place it’s outstanding, from the beautifully designed rooms set in the bush on the side of a sand dune overlooking the Bazaruto archipelago, truly amazing Italian inspired multi course meals, easy access to activities on the archipelago and the airport and a few very special extras – we absolutely loved our daily couples massages, sipping cocktails while watching the sunset on the dunes, great tour recommendations, being met on the beach with a drink after a boat trip… But the number one thing for us was the service and attention to detail. And this is all down to Elena and Fabio. They have created an amazing place where everything is thought of and looked after. They are supported but a very attentive staff in creating a place where they literally sort everything out. They have ensured we were so well loked after and no matter what our request was they have immediately sorted for us without any hassle and made our stay very memorable. And even then, they still went above and beyond on several occasions for which we are very grateful! Elena is the most attentive and kind host. It was such a wonderful trip, we have been telling all our friends about our luxurious experience and we hope to be back one day! Ana & Jon

I had the most relaxing weekend at AsDunas for 5 days. It’s a boutique operation that provides very good value, I enjoyed the all inclusive concept. Elena and Fabio are very welcoming and accommodating and they speak several languages. Their tasting menu gives you a chance to experience delicious Italian recipes, and handcrafted cocktails. The safari tents are spacious, private, have their own pool, and overlook the ocean. I highly recommend choosing AsDunas if you go to Vilankulos.

An absolute gem right on a quiet stretch of untouched beachfront overlooking crystal clear water. The owners and hosts, Elena and Fabio, were so hospitable we felt like we were visiting old friends. The staff was very attentive and made us feel like we were the only guests - five star treatment throughout our 4 night stay. Each night a pre-set 4 course meal is served consisting of mostly Italian inspired dishes, made from fresh locally sourced ingredients, all of which was excellent. Wine glasses are kept full throughout dinner and a menu of original hand crafted cocktails is also available. The rooms were nicely decorated (the beds luxurious) and completely private with a spectacular unobstructed view of the Indian Ocean. If you are looking for a peaceful and very quiet place to relax, this is the place for you. Not a single detail was overlooked in the creation of As Dunas - welcome to heaven. We will definitely be back!!

asdunas ist für Paare ein Traum, um zu entspannen und einfach nur die Schönheit dieser Lodge und seiner traumhaften Umgebung zu geniessen. Wir hatten eine “tented lodge”, also offen mit nezten, die sehr sauber und romantiach-schön eingerichtet war (keinerlei tierchen oder Mosquitos) und dazu unser eigener kleiner pool ;-) Da die Lodge etwas ausserhalb liegt, wodurch man absolut ruhig gelegen und ergo allein ist, ist aber eben das all inclusive vonnoeten: tolles essen wurde uns morgens, mittags und abends praesentiert von dem super Team - dazu jede Art von drinks und cocktails and sogar italienischem Wein! Die gesamte Anlage war sehr schoen gepflegt! Das meer ist im Dezember sehr warm gewesen, was wir geliebt haben. Einzig die ebbe - bei dem eh schon sehr flachen Wasser - hat das Schwimmen im Meer nicht immer zugelassen... dafuer konnten wir viel spazieren gehen und dann wieder im pool die Sonne geniessen! Danke Elena & Fabio für diesen tollen Aufenthalt!!

La atención de Elena, su dueña, siempre pendiente del detalle para hacerte disfrutar al máximo. El emplazamiento es perfecto, las vistas desde la habitación, excursiones a las islas, paseos por la playa... . La piscina privada. La comida italiana muy rica. No hay nada que no nos gustara.

Wunderschöne, brandneue Lodge mit geschmackvollen einzeln stehenden Bungalows im Safari-Zelt-Stil, sehr viel Privatsphäre, eigenem Pool und atemberaubendem Ausblick aufs Meer. Die italienischen Eigentümer erfüllen jeden Wunsch und das gesamte Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Essen ist hervorragend, das vier gängige Menü am Abend überrascht immer wieder mit neuen Variationen von Fisch und Meeresfrüchten. Wir konnten keinen einzigen Kritikpunkt finden!
