Small but excellent roons ckean and well organised great reception and housekeeping free croissant hot water coffee in the morning

Anne was an exceptional staff member who has great knowledge of Amsterdam She knew many places to explore and how to get there with ease. I would stay there again. The location from Amsterdam Central is the best, a 5 minute walk. The hotel is on a nice quaint street where you can sit on a bench with morning coffe and watch the boats go by on the canal I sat there often

They advertised rooftop, that was not a rooftop. Bed is hard, they advertised pillow top, non of that was there. 2 sad hard pillows, the blanket is thin and bad. All of it is sad. But the breakfast was nice and the staff were very nice and professional. Just the facilities could use a makeover

Although the room was small, the staff were great and we managed with the tiny elevator. It’s in a great location.

Set in a quiet side street, easy to find, functional. Stayed for a single night which was ideal for my needs. Front of house staff - friendly and helpful.

Amazing

Cityview is just over 5 mins walk from Amsterdam Centraal station, so suited me perfectly. Charming area of small cobbled streets and beautiful canals everywhere. Loads of bridges so easy to get around. Cityview hotel is a little gem - friendly, helpful staff, very quiet area at night. My room was small - as expected for solo traveller - but very efficiently designed so had everything i needed. All very clean, and a lift very close. There are 4 steps at the entrance door, but reception staff happy to carry a case over the steps.

My initial impression of this hotel was that it was shabby, but after a day there, I realized that it was a victim of it's design. A converted house, the room I had was extremely small and cramped, but that seems to be the way Amsterdam houses are designed. The location of the hotel (just outside of the insanity of the core) more than made up for any issues with the property. The main street that it is located adjacent to, has restaurants, shopping and almost anything else you're looking for. The only real negative about this hotel was that the bedspread was badly stained and the bed itself had a bend to it such that sitting on the edge of the bed was impossible without sliding to the floor. Having said all this, it's very much worth the price to stay here, just don't expect too much. It's also worth mentioning that it was a 15 minute walk to the train station, which was very convenient.

The mattress cover and pillow was dirty. Because of the noise I couldn’t sleep. The price was also too high for this hotel.
