The staff was amazing. I arrived at the hotel very early in the morning. Because it is a small hotel, you can get a more personal treatment. They offered me to have breakfast and gave me tips for my first time visit to Amsterdam. I stayed the lobby/ breakfast area, which was very cozy on a very cold day until I was ready to start the day. They were able to give me the room as soon as it was ready.

Great staff, lovely hotel cat, decked out for Christmas, cozy rooms, and a good breakfast. Only hiccup are the intense stairs upon entering; fine for a younger traveler but would be a challenge for some. Would stay here again!

The room was adequate but the main thing to be aware of is the stairs. We had 70 plus steps to climb each time we went to our room from street level and some of them were spiral. Someone did help us with our luggage for check in, but we were on our own for check out. There was no offer to help and they clearly knew we were carrying luggage, as we stopped halfway down, at the lobby to drop off the key. Lobby sitting room was a nice perk and the breakfast was good too. Good central location to stay if you have minimal luggage.

My daughter (18) and I stayed here from 22/9/25 to 25/9/25. We both enjoyed our stay very much. The hotel is absolutely spotless; the continental breakfast was fab; and the two cats are adorable. We did have an issue with the shower in our room (no hot water) but the staff let us use the shower in the room across from us until it was fixed. I would 100% stay here again.

Extremely steep very long stairs to reach reception which would be impossible for anyone unfit. Our room was extremely tiny and smelt of damp the bathroom was so small it was hard to sit on the toilet and not bang your knees on the door. The sink was cracked in 3 places. Totally impossible for anyone over say 5ft 7 Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was good. Seemed very expensive to me

Terrific breakfast with meat, fresh fruit, eggs, croissants and cheese, plus cappuccinos and lattes. Great way to start the day. The front desk folks are very helpful and accommodating. Mattresses are also very comfortable. The only caution I would have are for those who struggle with stairs. There are a lot of very steep stairs and no elevator. Just wouldn't want anyone to be surprised.

If i could give more than 10/10 i would. Email prior to arrival with easy to follow instructions of how to get there. Lovely old dutch building, one single doorway that lead to a charming reception/welcome room. All staff very willing to help, they took our suitcases no problem up the stairs. We were given a welcome drink which we enjoyed on the balcony giving us the first glimps if the sights, we could see the Anne Frank house from here too. Room was well decorated and had everything we needed for our comfort. Tea/coffee available 24/7 in reception, enjoyed a sit down with a cup of tea, mini waffle and the company of the cat at night! There are two resident cats who are happy to come to you if you ask them! Breakfast was included, it was relaxed and enjoyable, help yourself continental style, hot food was pancakes & scrambled eggs. They happily held our luggage until ready to leave. All in all a terrific hotel, lovely staff and a brilliant first experience in Amsterdam. I would 100% recommend this hotel.

Characterful boutique hotel within sight of Anne Frank House, and earshot of the lovely bells of Westerkerk, mentioned in Anne's diary. Staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful. As a solo female traveller I felt completely safe. Central location meant I could get around everywhere on foot, including Rijksmuseum, Rembrandt House, etc. Only negative is the lack of elevator (37 steep and narrow steps from street to reception) but the excellent breakfast, daily housekeeping and unlimited tea/coffee more than make up for this. I'm really glad I found this little gem and wouldn't now stay anywhere else in Amsterdam!
