ibis Amsterdam City West

The staff were nice and very helpful and location the hotel is not far to the Amsterdam city. Only took 10 minutes by bus to go to central.

Getting to the hotel from the airport was simple and efficient, the train from Schipol airport to the city centre then the GVB 22 bus drops you right outside. The staff were outstanding, checking in and out was hassle free and I was given advice on the city, tips and any query I had the staff at Ibis were professional and helpful. The hotel location was ideal for me as it was quiet and public transport in the city is brilliant, the 22 bus was a God send, a Metro station is very close by and Sloterdejk train station is also within walking distance. Burger King is next door to the hotel and you can't go wrong with it, food and prices were both decent and staff were lovely. The hotel itself is nice, great sustainable initiatives taken, my room was standard, the bathroom was small and curved like a pod, interestingly compact but did the job. Breakfast area and buffet was good, it had the things I like, ample seating and attentive staff. The only small things I would say the hotel may need to look into are, the shower screen didn't have a seal at the bottom therefore water often splashed out of the cubicle and felt that I was wasting towels to dry it up which isn't very sustainable. I might have been unlucky but the wi-fi in my room was weak, I failed to get a good connection most of the time however it was a short break therefore not much of an issue. Overall I would recommend this hotel, I had a pleasant stay and thank you for making me feel welcome.

Really close to transport links to Centraal, also a nice 15 minute walk to Sloterdijk station. Lovely hotel, will stay again.
