Great location. While a few hotels are in the neighborhood you are tucked back slightly in with residential. Great location though! The hotel location is a nice break from the busy streets. There is still quite a bit of street noise from construction, garbage/recycle collections, honking, and people. All to be expected in a city. Our AC in the room didn’t work but the staff helped to quickly get us a portable AC. It was the hottest day of the year yet for Amsterdam so we appreciated it. Breakfast was a lovely buffet. However they like to clean the plates and cups up once it ends. I was enjoying the coffee sitting at the table and the lady tried to take my mug and advised breakfast was over. That was the only negative experience I had there.

It is in a great location but is in desperate need of renovation. The staff was pleasant but the hotel is poorly managed. My room, which at one time was an attic, was not especially clean. The sink was dirty because the water didn’t drain. I had to ask the desk three times to send someone to fix it. Overpriced for the condition never staying in a Leonardo property again. Ever. This made Super 8 look like the Four Seasons.

They gave us one of the worst rooms in the hotel — it was located right under the front desk. We had to endure constant noise from people walking above us all night, and we barely got any sleep. It was truly one of the worst experiences we've had.

Good: 1. Location was excellent. 2. Most of the staff were friendly. My son was offered a free bag of chips at check-in. Bad: 1. The facilities were dated. We could clearly feel the springs in the mattress and hard lumps inside the pillows. 2. There was construction outside the hotel. It blocked the entrance and made traffic difficult. Water was also shut off for 4–5 hours on one day. 3. There was only one elevator (shared by guests and staff). At times, it felt like staff were competing with guests for access. 4. One staff member was very rude to my wife. She refused to let my wife adjust the toaster for the croissant, even though no one else was using it. When the croissant came out slightly burnt, she said sarcastically, “I told you so. Enjoy!” — a clear lack of service attitude. 5. At check-in, they tried to collect the city tax, but both POS machines were not working. They attempted to restart the systems, which wasted more than 10 minutes of our time, and it still didn’t work. This reflects poorly on the overall condition of their facilities.
