Had a wonderful 2 night stay at this modern hotel. Room was on the 15th floor and had a great view across the city. It was clean and there was a wonderful choice of so many foods at breakfast. It was also convenient for transport with a bus and stop only a 5-10 min walk away although the tram was not operational when we stay due to roadworks. Would stay again and highly recommend.

The hotel has iPads to self check in, but these didn’t work for us. A very helpful member of staff checked us in and we were provided with key cards. We were blown away with the room. The room was very spacious and had a fantastic view of Amsterdam. We had a deluxe twin room. There are amenities in the shower, including a hairdryer. There is no kettle in the room but there is a coffee machine. There was a large selection of food at breakfast. There is plenty of hot and cold options. Breakfast is on the 17th floor and the views over the city (especially at sunrise) were amazing.

The logistics need improvement. I booked the shuttle pick up from the airport and waited over an hour and the shuttle never came. I had to take an uber. The offered me some add-ons at a price but the balance to be paid was always incorrect and the staff were sometimes clueless. The rooms do not have body lotion so you must bring your own. On the other hand, breakfast was good.

Initially, when I messaged the property before going on my vacation they never bothered to reply. I waited a whole week, I called & was connected to their central reservation service. They gave me incorrect information that bus 18 stops directly outside the hotel, it’s 10mins walk from the bus stop. The hotel is away from the main tourist areas, I mostly used uber, Tram 13 stops 3/5mins walk from the hotel but currently due to some changes it’s not going directly to the Amsterdam Centraal Station. You need to get Tram 17 first & then change to Tram 13. Their bathroom is appalling, it gets flooded when you have a shower or wash your face (if you are of petite structure like me). Secondly, there’s a section behind the bed with hangers, it’s not designed for short people perhaps a very very tall person. Lastly, the room is poorly lit, if you want to enjoy & read a book, there’s no proper headrest. I really did not enjoy my stay at this hotel. However, the staff tried to make my stay a bit comfortable. I was offered free breakfast for the duration of my stay & a fruit basket was left in my room as an apology but I didn’t get the chance to have any of that. I am very disappointed with Leonardo Rembrandt Amsterdam. It was waste of money & added stress to have booked this hotel.

The rooms in this hotel are fine, if a bit cramped for 2 people. The staff are helpful. The buffet breakfast is excellent. HOWEVER, here is an important tip: Do NOT eat in the hotel restaurant. The menu is very limited, and some of the items are very odd, including a cauliflower dish which was barely edible. And the lemon tart was not properly cooked. The chef lacks basic skills. So, avoid the restaurant.

The bedroom we were given was the smallest hotel bedroom I have ever paid for but it was clean. The hotel is pet friendly but you couldn’t swing a cat!! The shower overflowed onto the floor causing us to use all the towels to mop it up. The towels were clean but very old with holes in it. We needed extra pillows due to how the bed was set into the cupboard / wardrobe behind the bed. Didn’t like the breakfast. However, I did like the reception/lounge areas and rooftop bar. Hotel is located about an 25/30 minute drive away from the city centre. On the hold I was disappointed due to the cost of the hotel which was definitely not value for the money we paid.

Overall, I enjoyed my stay. The in room amenities were a bit mixed. Great complimentary coffee but modest bathroom amenities. One bottle for all body soap, shampoo in one. Not bad but not any wow. Food at restaurant on 17 was pretty good. Had fennel soup that was over the moon good. Breakfast buffet was impressive, tasty and well thought out, right until it gave me a dose of food poisoning on my last day. Only downside of my stay.
