Front desk was exceptionally helpful. Location is great, if you like walking- which we do! The neighborhood is quiet with grocery stores and cafes nearby. City center is ~15 minute walk, Amsterdam Centraal was ~30 minutes. The hotel was clean and spacious for our family of 5. Now, the building is old, so, go in knowing that. I saw some reviews that the building was dirty… not the case. It is old, carpet on the stairs is ripped in the hallway, there are scuffs on the wall. However, it is clean. There is a fridge, cups, new oven (which was spotless!) Staff was so helpful. I do recommend this for a budget accommodation in a nice neighborhood.

We were switched to this property when our original hotel cancelled, a week before we were supposed to travel. This turned out to be a very positive change! This space was large, clean, bright and comfortable. I loved having a kitchen to make coffee and easy breakfasts. The Albert Heijn grocery store was a five minute walk away and was open til 10:00 for easy meal and snack options. I do wish there had been written instructions on how to work the stove and oven as the symbols were new to me and it took a bit of google searching. A few reviews have complained about the stairs, but this was completely normal for Amsterdam and really no big deal once we got our luggage up! We were walking distance to the shopping district, Artis (zoo) and many other attractions. The subway was also right there so easy to catch a train on days when we had done a little too much walking or it was raining. There was a small issue with shower drain no working properly when we arrived but someone came to check it out right away and while it wasn't fixed while we were there, they did bring us LOTS of extra towels to help with the overflow. The rooms with the double bed and the murphy bed were perfect. The room with the two twin beds was TINY and had no real windows so it got a little stuffy - something to keep in mind depending on who will be sleeping where. The thermostat was very responsive so it was easy to manage overall temperatures as the weather changed quite a bit during our week-long stay.

Very clean. Narrow stairs. Check-in is at another building with walking distance but easy to find. Bathroom is a bit dated but clean. Heaters are warm. Not very sound proof, I guess we were unlucky that guests upstairs were so loud and noisy. They were either smoking and talked loudly outside and when climbing stairs at 2am or dragging their suitcases down the stairs at 4am. We didn’t sleep that night and we only stayed for one night.

The property was in a great quiet location, easy walk to metro/tram. Cafe and Pizza restaurant at the end of the road. Nearest Spar about 10 mins walk. Lots of stairs to 3rd floor! Very comfy beds and duvets. Kitchen had coffee/tea/sugar (no cafetiere). As advertised and perfect for out 3 night stay.

MOUSE INFESTED. What a rip off. My family (wife and three kids 22, 20, 17) stayed here in December 2023 for 3 nights. Despite the large cost the apartment is extremely basic with bare wooden floors and cheap furniture. It felt like a student flat. The door handles fell off. The common stair area was dirty. We were awakened every night by people smoking weed in the garden of apartment below. THE WORST THING WAS THE MICE THAT WE SAW RUNNING AROUND INSIDE THE APARTMENT IN BROAD DAYLIGHT. I CONTACTED THE OWNER BUT HAD NO REPLY. I RECOMMEND THIS PLACE IS AVOIDED AT ALL COSTS!

The place itself was fine, but it was not at all made clear the treacherous multiple flights of near ladder like stairs required to climb to get to the main level of the apartment. We spent the night, but ended up booking a room at another hotel for use during the day to avoid going up and down those stairs more than once.

The apartment was much more spacious than expected & had all necessary amenities - the perfect communal space with private areas too. Everyone at reception was really welcoming & helpful. The location was great too - about a 15 min walk into the city centre so the apartment was peaceful & quiet at night. We stayed here in December and the apartment was warm & cosy even in the cold!

This place needs to be gutted! It is filthy, dangerous and absolutely disgusting! From the grime on the walls and floor to the stains on the dirty sheets they left on the bed, this place should be condemned!! The railing was hanging off the wall, the planks on the stairs were all cracked making it even more dangerous to climb up! The pitch of the stairs are more like a ladder and extremely skinny! The handles on the door are screws, the bathroom sink was hanging, the shower floods the entire bathroom, the kitchen had all the coffee and jam smeared on the counter tops still from the last guests. This place is run down and is in serious need of an overhaul. The apartment is up 3 BRUTAL flights of stairs that are like a ladder to coins and super skinny, the hallways are filthy with the same garbage remains in them for our entire stay and is just plain gross. Expedia needs to reclassify this hotel to a 1 star or even think if removing it completely from their website.
