Ascot Epsom Motel

Pre-requested baby cot on Trivago.com, then phoned the Ascot to make sure & confirm there was going to be a baby cot in the room. Guests arrived and - NO BABY COT!!

Firstly, the staff and servuce was 5 stars.... sadly the property and possible cleaning team/products theg are given to use have let this motel down.... its very rundown, rotting broken away kitchenette furniture, the room smelt of bleach (good as knew it was clean, but not pleasant smell), i was unsure if the previous guests sheets were just re-used as there seemed to be a few crumbs and hair in the bed. Only 1 top blanket was provided, this clearjg isnt changed each time as there was a dirty patch on it. Thank goodness the heatpump worked well as we would have been cold with the 1 polarfleece/mink type blanket. The shower pressure is Amazing!!! And the pillows super comfy! So we did have a good sleep as the room was very soundproof. Only have the TVNZ channels worked e.g. got channel 3 but not channel 2! The laundray bags were permanentky left outside our room and the dining chairs were covered in stains so much so we didnt want to sit on them ...under normal circumstances we have left yhe accom and asked for a different room however we were tired and in very late. I hope going forward the owners of this motel will do some maintenance, small cheap upgrades to furniture and provide their cleaning team with nicer scented products other than janola type bleach. As the the location is great as well as the staff we encountered. We travel a lot, and on a budget, it was a treat for us to stay in a motel so it was a big dissapointment that we couldnt enjoy our room due to the above

It was well positioned and reasonably priced. The water pressure in the shower was good.

This was good value for money. The room was clean and comfortable and the location is very central.

Kitchen Sink tap problem!

On walkng into the room it felt damp, smelt musty not the cleanest. You have toaster and microwave and jug, crockery a very old manky sponge scourer but no sink to wash the dishes leaving you to use the bathroom sink with no plug. Broken toilet and tiles everything is just patched. Bedding was a sheet and blanket there were cigarette burn holes in the bedding when i went to take out the extra blanket from the cupboard for my son it smelt of urine. Hairs on the towels in the shower and sink. Smoke alarm not attatched when i told the owner said he would come sort it never did. To expect a deposit of $100 in case you damage the property honestly not sure what would be noticed as damage.

Didn't like our TV not having TV 1, TV2 etc available.

Aged and in very poor condition. Nowhere to wash dishes and no tea towel provided. Toilet cistern wouldnt shut off so water ran all night, Took more than 5 minutes to get hot water in the shower this morning. Mould behind toilet and in shower

I know it was a budget price. No tea towel to wipe dishes for additional use. Toilet brush compartment dirty. Room smelt musty

Rotting timbers, particularly in batrhroom

Please do not rent this property until you fix new bath room with shower cubical, add new flooring, new furniture, new tiles in the court-yard garden.

The place is run down. The room smells bad. Carpets smells. Bathroom is dirty. I wouldn’t even let my dog stay in the room. Disgusting not worth the money. Don’t waste your money on this place. Homeless people staying there. They are fighting.

It was not clean, black mould all or the lace curtains, floors were not mopped (photos taken) of unknown substance on the tiles. No milk to go with the tea and coffee supply, uneven surfaces outside the doors making it harder for the wheelchair. The beds were harder than the tiled floor so no sleep at all making a very uncomfortable drive home. And when asked if by the owner and I told him this, he just said oh sorry and very quickly walked away.

Motel room needs alot of fixing up, shower floor seem like you were going to fall thru floor! Room looked like it was in real need of doing up! If I would have known room was in this state I would have booked elsewhere. But had already paid in advance. Definitely won't be going back!

Motel has a lower star rating but was convenient for my purpose of a Greenlane clinical center appointment, was able to walk to it, and the price was good. Was also walking distance to shop in Newmarket. No problems locating parking spaces for me. Would use this motel again. Regards, Ron.
