Cardrona Alpine Apartments

Great stay at semi-top of Cardrona mountain. The room we stayed at was a two bedroom apartment and it was clean, modern and spacious. We loved the room design! The kitchen itself was complete with utensils, we had all tools we needed to cook our own meals. The wifi is strong and steady, also provided a Samsung smart curved tv with Netflix! So we enjoyed a cooked meal and hot latte while watching Netflix during cold dark nights at the apartment. Laundry room is right outside the room, shared with one other room just outside, with laundry detergent ready to be used as many as you like. The balcony is shared right outside the room. During the nights you can see stars so clearly! Keep in mind that this apartment is (almost) on top of Cardrona mountain at the height of 1600 meters. Getting to the resort we had to climb through a zig-zag gravel road stretching about 7.5 miles (12km) that took about 20-30 minutes. We stayed here for 3 nights, unless planning to stay only for a night, that's something to keep in mind going to and from the resort. On our first night we had a late check in, one receptionist was nice enough to wait for us but during the time the mountain was foggy so climbing on the gravel road on pitch dark night during a fog was a bit treacherous. Overall, this apartment was a great stay. Definitely would come back. Loved the design, made us feel homey with the complete kitchen and netflix. The apartment is right next to the ski resort, waking up in the morning we were able to go carting on the mountain and other activities. Queenstown is about 1 hour away. You get free 1 gondola pass a day to enjoy the views and sunset overlooking Queenstown. Again, one thing to always keep in mind is that we had to climb and descend through the long gravel road.
