While it was a nice stay, I found it somewhat disappointing since there were no staff present. I am 74 years old and have not mastered modern technology. But my wife and I were able to figure things out without too much difficulty. We do prefer human contact when traveling so we can ask questions and engage in conversation with locals. But the room was clean and comfortable- plus in a great location.

I was a little concerned about the check-in process because I didn't have a local phone number. However, it turned out to be very straightforward. When prompted, I entered my primary phone number and email address. Within seconds, I received a confirmation email, and the passcode was included in one of the email attachments.
The hotel is about a 20-minute walk from the town center, with a well-maintained walking path. There is a small shopping mall directly below the hotel and a supermarket right next to it. We bought breakfast there each morning because the cafés in town opened later than we needed.
The hotel also offers complimentary tea and coffee and has a spacious lobby with plenty of comfortable seating and tables. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and would happily recommend this hotel.

Although on the quiet, commercial side of Andalsnes and above a mall, Frich’s is absolutely fine for a night’s stay. I have stayed in far smaller rooms. We even had a view of the mountains and water from our room … if we disregarded the Esso station. LOL. Seriously, it was a good value, the automated check-in worked flawlessly, the room was super clean, and I have no complaints. I was unfamiliar with Frich’s, but I would not hesitate to stay at any Frich’s property in the future.

I would never stay there again. I’d be happy to pay more so there is a person at the hotel to deal with. There is no luggage storage, if you arrive early and you want to explore the town you have to carry your luggage. No early check in. It was noisy and hot in the room so I had to have the windows open.

It was a good one night stay place. Bed was a little toooo soft for our liking. I wish there was a place to open our bags. We had to open our carry ons on the floor. Other than that bathroom was spacious. Parking is available. EV chargers available.

We booked the room with 1 queen and 2 twin beds because there were 4 of us. We checked in to find the twin beds locked into the wall with no key. There wasn't a phone number in the email confirmation. I tried emailing- no response, not even the next day. I found a phone number on the website, but it didn't go thru. I tried texting, but no response. There were also only 2 towels. When you book a room for 4 people, you expect that 4 people will have a place to sleep. You also expect that there would be a number to contact if you needed help. It was false advertising.

From the posting it is not immediately clear the hotel does not have any service on site, or that it is nested within a shopping center with an entry difficult to access. Having those facts in the posting is an important deciding factor for travelers. More detailed feedback: no bathroom fan/air circulation, a cupboard is installed at head-heigh in a very dangerous and inconvenient location.

We had a lovely stay for 2 nights and it served our needs very well. The check in was chaotic - being told to expect an sms with room details etc only to receive the sms 36 hours later !!! - but once in everything was fine.
If the check in does not work well - and others checking in also had problems - for goodness sake have someone to hand easily.

Plenty of common area space with ample seating, there is a large conference room.
Plenty of parking and Tesla EV recharging stations. Grocery Store at the ground floor has hot and frozen food options.
