Et fantastisk sted mellem bjerge. Et af de smukkeste steder, som jeg har set. Ligger i gå afstand (800 meter) fra færgekajen Gudvangen. Her fra kan man tage en elektrisk dreven færge til Flåm. På vej tilbage kan man tage en bus. Alternativt kan man tage en bilfærge til kaupanger. Husk også at tage til Stegastein i Aurland for at få en fantastisk udsigt over Aurlandsfjord.
Der ligger også et vandfald, Stalheimfossen, ca. 8 km fra Gudvangen i retning mod Bergen. Flere andre vandfald er synlige fra Gudvangen Camping.
Vandet i hytten var misfarvet og smagte af rust. Husk at købe vand (fx 5 liters beholder) fra mini marked Joker, der ligge lige ved siden af Gundvangen kajen. Der ligger også en Shell station lige ved siden.
