The room, cafe and reception were very clean.
The lady on reception was extremely informative and polite, she advised us where to park and she showed us to the lift explaining how to use it.
The restaurant staff were very polite and helpful. The housekeeping lady greeted us and was very polite and cheerful.

The only way you could stay nearer to the trains would be by sleeping on a platform bench!
This has to be one of the best located stations that I have stayed in, very convenient with an excellent café serving guests and railway travellers with decent food which, for Norway, was reasonably priced. Guests get free tea and coffee too and a great breakfast is included.
The room was large (2 beds plus bunk beds!) and overlooked the platform but was silent with no noise at all from the station.
There is also a special room available containing a lounge and kitchen which can be used if required - especially useful for longer-term guests as it included a fridge
The only downside was that there were no bedside lights which meant that you had to get out of bed to turn off the main light! Crazy!

Property located at train station. Very basic but clean and super convenient for an overnight before heading out again because we wanted to see the country by daylight. Fair price and we were able to take our luggage to upstairs room and enjoy the charming town a few blocks away. Glad I had cleats for slippery streets in late February.

If you are searching for a short stay between long trip- that place might fit. For those who has problem with sleep- might be a bit too noisy from early morning. Few words about ladies on reception -cafe. They been very nice and made late breakfast, which they shouldnt, cause its me being late on breakfast. Nice of them. But than part of a bad experience - lady on reception denied my prolongation of stay due to fake reason . As i been explained ,that house keeping said i been smoking in the room, i cant find words to describe my disappointment, cause its a lies, i dont know how she could say smth like that and whats the intention? So basically lies. If you don't want meet accusations in smth you have not done and meet weird behaviour - better avoid

The room smelled horrible when I arrived, and the bathroom had no handwash soap. Felt like I was staying at a place where homeless people would go or people to take drugs and party.
Sheets were dirty, smelled bad of cigarettes, very uncomfortable, train right outside the window. Not a place I would recommend.

Just walk across the lobby to checkin. Tourist info also located in the train station. Compact room was adequate with comfortable beds and linens. Great breakfast with a variety of offerings kept well stocked, served in the cafe in the train station. Inexpensive lunch can be packed as well from the buffet. Wifi strong and condistent. Walking distance to places of interest, shopping and grocery stores. Bonus was full service kitchen and breakroom with supply of cutlery, serving dishes, stove, microwave. refrigerators, etc. Attention is paid to recycling options. Highly recommend.

The place is overpriced compare with the value you get. The shower was dirty (hairs were on the bottom of the shower), and the pillows were smelly. Besides, the hotel/hostel is located in the main station which in the crowdy days could be uncomfortable. However, the staff in the cafe were extremly helpful and nice, the breakfast was OK, and having the tea/coffee available for the guests were also nice token to have. Only recommend this place as the last place to stay, and also if you don't care about being charged for a nice hotel but staying at a hoste.
