Thon Hotel Trondheim

It was a good, comfortable and safe stay at Thon Hotel Trondheim - check in was quick and efficient and the staff are very polite and helpful. The room was quite clean, but a little shabby and worn - chips in the sink, stained shower seals, scuffed walls and floor, worn corners on the side tables etc but it did not impact our stay at all. Everything was functional and clean, even the kettle and hot drinks selection was well thought through. The room was spacious, as was the ensuite shower room and the beds are very comfortable. The radiator is adjustable and the windows open (although it is extremely loud with traffic and nightlife) so we were given a fan at our request which was perfect. There is daily housekeeping, which can be opted out of, but you are still provided fresh towels if you want them. The shining star was breakfast - wide selection of hot food, pastries and pancakes, fruits, continental meats and cheeses, yogurts, gluten and dairy free options - it was EXCELLENT - and such a surprise for a breakfast included with the low rate we paid per night during winter.

Rooms are very shabby and in very worn condition. For the price I think you are paying for the location which is central but still noisy. There are better options in Trondheim.

Wonderful stay at Thon Hotel Trondheim. The staff is incredibly nice and accommodating. The breakfast included has something for everyone and was a beautiful spread every morning. Hoping to return to Trondheim and would stay here again.

Run, as fast as u can! My room was a locker basically, hot as hell because of the tiny and useless fridge that heats up all the room. The street outside is super noisy, but the window was of quality. But then u have to choose: sleep with noise? Or close the window and sleep without any fresh air as the locker has no ventilation. Pillows, bed, blanket, everything is of the lowest quality. The breakfast is decent.

Breakfast was great. Room was perfect for a solo traveller.

In Trondheim Sentrum. Smells mikdly like stale cigarette smoke. June at the front desk was lovely and very helpful. Overall I'd stay here again!

Great stay, reasonably priced. Basic single room with comfortable bed, shower and kettle. Great selection at breakfast, as well as complementary coffee in reception. Daily room service. Some hairs on bathroom floor on arrival but otherwise good level of cleanliness. Would recommend for a short break in Trondheim!

Right in central Trondheim which is excellent, fairly good hotel and reasonably priced. Good hot drink making facilities too!

Centrally located and close to main city square and shops. On a Saturday night there was so much noise from outside it was difficult to sleep. Breakfast good.

The property is in a good location it’s just difficult to unload and find parking. The breakfast was excellent and room was ok

I love the Thon hotels. The breakfast alone is worth staying here. Rooms are clean and the hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of just about everything. The only complaint I have - and it’s not the hotel’s fault - were landscapers outside with super loud tools and leaf blowers super early in the morning. Like 5:30 am.
