It was a quiet time at the hotel And we were spoiled by the excellent service. The rooms are dated, and lack convenient outlets for charging phone. Bathroom has an awkward placement for the toilet paper holder. But plenty of space for your stuff and the outdoor grounds are lovely even in early spring.

Great hotel, colorful with a nice decoration and a garden right on the lake. A great place to stop for a night ot two if you are on your way to/from Oslo and you want a peacful place. The room is cozy and simple, good value for what we paid. There is also a glamping option in the hotel which looked super nice. We also ate dinner in the hotel’s restaurant and really enjoyed it. Really sorry we could not stay more than one night cause this was a true relaxation. Recommended!

The location was convenient for our trip. Definitely had a different expectation. Not well kept, bathrooms old and had mold in shower and around the door frame. Restaurant overpriced and limited. Front desk not helpful. Would not stay here again.

Hotel was nice (albeit very hot with no ac and warm temps) but I had an awful experience with the evening cook (man said he was a student, so hopefully not a full time employee). He insulted me by asking me if I was pregnant, something you never ask a woman unless you are very sure. I cancelled our reservation for 6 people to avoid him, as he was obviously making an insult about my weight.

Lacks blackout curtains and outlets for charging. Bathroom outlet broken. We were given c-class room despite hotel nearly empty. Weeds and shabby grounds. no room phones or traveler info. Dated and run down.

Slightly remote. Fifteen minutes drive to other restaurants. That is not too bad. Nice nature walks, but not much else to walk to besides glass stores. Reasonably the place was designed to capture the heat. In hot periods it needs to have a way to get the hot air out. So even when it is not particularly hot outside, it is inside. This needs a better solution than just propping doors open.

Noe slitt rom, men rent og ganske god seng. Nydelig frokost. Vi hadde bestilt 4-retters middag første kveld men pgs trøbbel med booking var det kun registrert reservasjon av bord til a la carte. Vi ble føst skuffet og tenkte at vi bestiller på nytt til neste kveld, men betjeningen ordnet likevel fantastisk mat og drikke. Omgivelsene er helt fantastiske med park, fjord og gangavstand til Hadeland glassverk. Et besøk på Kistefos museum anbefales også!

Ikke nok med fin utsikt. Vi hadde gledet oss til å oppleve dette hotellet som ligger så nydelig til. Rommet var slitt og spartansk uten bl.a. nattbord. Vasken på badet var nesten tett og hårføner virket ikke. Dette var kjent for personalet i resepsjonen, og et kurs i gjestebehandlig hadde vært på sin plass. Frokostbuffeten bød på omeletter som nok var stekt grytidlig og holdt varme over lang tid. Vaffeljernet virket ikke, selv om en plakat annonserte stedets gode vaffelrøre. I det hele tatt var dette et skuffendeopphold, særlig på grunn av mangel på serviceinnstilt personale.
