This is a very hard place to find and I got completely lost. We called the hotel and the owner came to us and escorted us. This is the first B&B that I’ve ever been to, to charge extra for breakfast and it was only one egg. The breakfast was overpriced and not very good but overall this is a good place to stay.

I had a lovely stay here, Juan and his family were very friendly and knew me by name. Very clean room, comfortable bed and very hot shower. Breakfast was great it consisted of egg, rolls, fruit juice, jam and tea. Good WiFi and a nice patio area with hammocks and chairs in the shade. Very close to all the shops and restaurants, I felt very safe and welcome. Only negative were the dogs barking late at night. I would stay again if I am in Nasca.

On arrival at the hotel, the property is gated and entry gained by ringing the door bell. The manager had left her younger brother in charge who left us stood in the street. Having already paid for the room we were told that we had to pay again. I contested this and the manager returned to the hotel 15mins later, after double checking the booking she accepted that we had already paid. Room was clean but very basic. We only stayed one night to fly over the lines the following morning, our bus didn't leave untill 20:50hrs and we were told we could only leave our luggage in a box untill 18:00hrs unless we paid half the rate for another night to keep the room untill we caught the bus. The one night sleep was not good, we were woken at 04:00hrs by a cockerel which is kept next door. This continued to make noise every 15mins this was still ongoing when we left for the trip over the lines.

As a guest, I don't like to be treated as the source of income more than the amount of money I pay for the hotel. The owner was waiting for me at the bus station (NOT requested) and he INSISTED that my suitcase was too heavy to carry and walk to his hostel. I didn't wanna be rude, so I got into the taxi with him. The driver was his "friend" and charged me the double of going around rate of town. The driver made sure to make many detours so it looked far enough for that price. After checking in, he wanted me to apply for the tours. I had no intention of going through him for any Nasca sightseeing. I felt his attitude was overall insincere and wanted to go to agencies to see the rate. Regardless of if he had any bad intention or not, I give him a plain "no" many times, and he doesn't take no for an answer. In both cases of taxi ride and Nasca, I did not see his gesture as an invitation because each time he insisted on taking his offer too much. Even after I paid an agency for the tours, he wanted to know the price I paid, or which agency. I wish he had treated me as just a hostel guest. It was too much.

The owner Juan is multilingual (self taught - unbelievably). He and his wife were very friendly and helpful and the place is comfortable and relaxing. If you fancy a trip to the cemetery I'd advise not to book through Juan, not necessarily his fault but it cost way more than if I'd just walked into town and found an agency. Also, there was the awkwardness of the guide driving me back via friends of his that owned jewellery and fabric stores - though to be fair, like I've found im most places in Peru, if someone offers to sell you something a quick no thanks and they back off immediately.
