Lovely little hotel
My wife and family had the pleasure of staying here during our vacation in el nido during our stay we were lucky to have met the owners and there family this hotel has just completed a very major upgrade and I must say it is looking amazing the staff make you feel very welcome and are always happy to help with you in organising tours or special needs for breakfast I would have no hesitation in recommending this location to any one thinking of coming to el nido and also traveling to coron via fast boat or ferry as it is only a mere 200 metres from the wharf

We checked in on August 11 and spent 3 nights at APTR. At first we were placed on the 4th floor, the room was a little smelly and the AC was not working with no fan also. Luckily they moved us to room 2 first floor right next to the reservation desk so thankfully we didn't have to climb the stairs as there are no elevators. The AC was nice and cold with ceiling fan, fridge and hot and cold showers. Unfortunately they didn't have hangers for us to hang our wet clothes so we had to improvise. We didn't spend much time in the room as we had planned day activities. The location is at the end of the street but also surrounded with a couple of lovely restaurants and many other little souvenir shops, we didn't have trouble with any noise from the neighbors. We also had complementary breakfast and the food was lovely. The hotel itself is still under maintenance though. Generally APTR is nice, affordable and also has a great view on the 5th floor. However we did not have any signal or internet in our room. We had to go all the way up to the 5th floor to access the hotel wifi. I suggest the hotel should make sure all rooms can access the wifi. Apart from that, the staff was kind and attended to all our needs which we appreciate. There's also a dog named Bruno and a puppy within the building ☺️ For those of you who are looking for a place to stay in ElNido, APTR itself is not so bad ☺️

I and my wife(filipina) stayed 5 nights. the room we stayed was room 4, 1st floor, no window, a little smelly. tv on wall, safety box was not working, refrigerator (we didn't use it), shower (don't expect hot water), shampoo and soap (we didn't use it), water is salty but i think we should not expect cold fresh clean water in this island. it was clean and tidy enough for us because in most of daytime we go out for island hopping, we took shower, we took nap and go out again for dinner and sleep. one thing, there were not many hangers so we had trouble even to hang towels after shower. maybe in other room there were many, i imagine. breakfast was nice (we had filipino breakfast only, so we don't know about western breakfast.) wifi is available on 3rd floor. they said it is also available on 5th floor, but it was no good. laundry service is P70 per kilogram. this place is located at the end of street, so we didn't have any trouble with noisy drunk dansing talking tourists. we needed to walk for minutes to go eating or buying things. the art cafe is a few steps away. the staffs in this hotel are all good people with nice smile always. we were on late honeymoon and we did not wanted to stay in backpacker-style place. in that meaning it was very nice choise. next time we visit here we will stay here, maybe, maybe not to save money haha. but i recommand this place.

Under Construction, not much to it
We arrived, tired from the drive from Puerto Princessa. Went to the room to find one of the cleaners spraying air freshener in the room upon hearing that's what room we were checking into (smelt nauseating) Went to take a shower, and unravelled the room towel to find a piece of feces on it- asked to receive a new towel and they didn't apologize about the previous one. The remote to the TV barely worked, there were no windows to outside. The only window in the room was to the hallway- don't see the point. All the handles to the cupboard/wardrobe were broken. Only a single sheet as a blanket on the bed. There's construction on each floor except 1 and 2, so basically from 7am to 7pm you hear people smashing tiles and drilling constantly. Not bad if you're out island hopping, but pretty annoying to come home/wake up to. Also the power would go out regularly at random times which made it difficult to charge your phone or gopro before your adventures. No wifi except on the 5th floor. We inquired about a room with a window to the outside, but they said that the only two rooms with windows to the outside were currently in use by family members of those who worked there. Seems to me that this place should've been closed for construction. We paid cheap so I guess we got what we paid for- I would've been more content with the conditions if it were advertised as a 1 Star Hostel instead of a 3 Star Hotel. Would not stay again.

First day, just arrived we found a cockroach in the bathroom, no window in the room, very noisy place, bad breakfast, nothing worked properly specially a/c that is neessary in this humid and hot place, dirty room and bad service, noisy since very early in the morning and masonry Works upstaris all the day, stinky and ugly. When you think nothing can be worse, we had an accident with the motorbike we rented directly with the hostel (no hotel at all) owner, and they tried to cheat us paying more money or we wont leave to take our bus to go out from that horrible place. A nightmare!!!!
