Priceless Sunset Views, Friendliest Place and Unforgettable
“Good afternooooon..welcome to Al Faro” first greets you after a good climb up the hill. We were first anxious of how high the hotel was based on a couple of reviews and only because our 73 quite inactive Mom was with us. Nenita the owner corresponded with me and assured me that they can provide a carriage for her - and provide they did. We loved Al Faro - the atmosphere, the people, the food, the views, the opportunity to disconnect, the restful nights etc. We planned for a Coron trip and didn’t even know much about Coron vs Busuanga. Al Faro is in Busuanga. We dropped by Coron to get goodies to bring home and boy did we make the best decision of staying in Busuanga. Tours in Al Faro will pick you up straight from the Al Faro dock and very convenient. Happy hour is just that HAPPY. Internet is intermittent and it was the best thing for us coz we really bonded and connected as a family. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️+ for this place. Highly recommended! I should thank all the prior TripAdvisor reviewers for all the helpful tips.

Stunning view, great staff!
Al faro is quite the retreat. Positioned atop a jutting bluff overlooking the South China Sea, Al Faro is everything you could hope for in the Philippines. Whether you're on your way South to Palawan or north to Luzon, Al Faro is definitely worth a visit. The staff are extremely friendly and the whole place is small enough to have a family vibe. Sadly, there's really not an easy way to get electricity to such a remote and difficult to reach area so there's no hot water, no air conditioning, and really lousy internet. This is a great excuse to disconnect, but if you need internet for anything related to your travel or things that need attention back home you will struggle at Al Faro - they give you cellular hotspots (one per room), but they don't actually get any signal most of the time. I found the food to be fair. Dinner is definitely better than lunch and they do an amazing job with the dinner service serving everybody at the same time! After dinner (or before) lounge beside the pool with the stunning views enjoying a G+T or a San Miguel. Drinks are cheap, so don't be shy! There's plenty to do in the area - lots of day trips (we went to an island with giraffes!), snorkeling, and diving. The staff will hook you up with whatever you would like to do - they know all of the people in the area so it's a quick call to get you booked up. The lack of abundant electricity and the average lunch time food is really the only reason I give it 4 stars and not 5. There's not a lot they can do about the electricity but it's just worth noting it if you're thinking about staying here. Oh and it's a bit of a trek to get there from the jetty where you arrive by boat - steep uphill climb - a sweaty challenge for somebody sedentary like myself. You hikers out there will love it :)

Beautiful location, great hotel and rooms, wonderful food!
We stayed here for a long weekend and loved it. The staff were very friendly. And it was clear that they have a great team spirit which adds to the pleasant ambience. It is an ideal retreat with a nice open restaurant overlooking an infinity pool and a spactacular bay view. The trip from Busuanga airport to the hotel was fast and easy (under an hour by bus and then boat), thanks to the pick-up and drop-off service offered. The food was a highlight - very good kitchen, thank you Nezki and team! The snorkeling, diving, island-hopping, etc tours that can be organised at the reception are a must. The rooms are spacious, clean, with a great view. (We stayed in room "Tres".) There is no direct beach here but the blue pool, free kayaks and then tours to nearby islands make it a great island stay all the same.

Beautiful getaway
Booked this hotel in advance and it was a great choice after long flights to rest and relax on rather an isolated location for a couple of nights. You first come from the airport some 40mins by van and then take a short boat ride. We asked for the transportation in advance (2000 peso total). The place and surroundings are absolutely beautiful as are the bungalows. The only con is that there's only a fan above the bed and the room feels pretty tropical. No proper curtains either, mosquito net provided. Staff is super friendly and they can arrange different kinds of trips, massage and kayaks are also on your disposal. We booked a private tour with another couple to go to the zoo (you can feed giraffes and see zebras walking free) and to some near islands. Food for the trip was provided according to our wishes and it was really good - not included in the tour price. Food and drinks in the hotel restaurant were also delicious, not the cheapest though. You must choose dinner beforehand from three options per night. Drinking water is provided but everything else you buy at the hotel. Wifi working in the restaurant area, most times not working.

Love Everything About Al Faro Cosmio Hotel
First thing you notice about Al Faro: Stairway to heaven - You can never get to a beautiful spot without ever spending energy to get there. You'll likely be in your best shape after spending a week here! The best thing about Al Faro: The View - We were speechless after reaching the top. You will see it when you get there! The rooms extends the beautiful view - with a lounger, a hammock, and a drink on hand, what else can you ask for? The food was also prepared special by our favorite cook - Net-Net - the best Napoli pasta we ever had. Do not forget to try this when you are there. We had calamari, shrimps, lobsters - the best seafood - love them all! The manager Sharon was so homey and accommodating. We love her a lot. The owner Nenita was so gentle and kind. She does not look like a boss there. She looks like she's just vacationing there like us. She was so cool and laid-back. She asked us once, "Why did you choose Al Faro?". I said to her "You have a beautiful spot here in Palawan, do I need to say more?" Do the tours if you stay here. Do not forget to do see the Giraffes and Zebras. My husband and 4 year old daughter enjoyed feeding them up close. Do the beach hopping as well. You won't regret it. The staff was the next best thing about the resort. Without these great people serving you everyday, there wouldn't be this beautiful paradise on earth. We love them all and we will surely miss them
