I think I'll come back...
I only spent a night there so here's my observation/review. Pros: - It isn't hard to find - Hotel looks fairly new - Complimentary fruits when I arrive at the hotel (that's a major plus) - GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE - Room is huge and looks nice - Wifi is pretty decent - Good breakfast choices - Overall, the place looks and feel clean CONS: - I think your air conditioning unit need an upgrade? - Bathroom needs a makeover or at least the shower (just looks a lil bit dirty) - Location of the hotel (near the city's market place so you'll hear a bit of the noise from the outside and mind you I'm on the 4th flr of the hotel) Major ups to the people working there! :) They made me feel that it was a good choice that I booked the hotel.

Value for money
This hotel was recommended to us the second time we visited General Santos City. The first time my wife and I went to General Santos, we stayed at East Asia and although that hotel was more at par with the hotels in Manila, Anchor hotel is not far behind. We booked one of their suites so amenities-wise, it covered the basics. The elevator however is tiny and when we were there, there was a weird smell. We were just there for an overnight business trip so dinner was courtesy of the lobby restaurant, which delivered the food straight to our room. Prices are reasonable. The hotel is a good place to stay if you are in General Santos on business and are simply looking for a comfortable place to rest with reasonable rates.

Nice, cozy hotel for great value
Pros - Huge, spacious rooms with aircon, LED TV with cable - Clean bathrooms with hot & cold showers - Has free breakfast. They were kind enough to pack my breakfast for me when I had a very early flight - Very friendly, accommodating and hospitable staff - Convenient location by the bay and the market. One tricycle ride away from SM Gen San & other restaurants Cons - Decent wifi within the rooms. The connection tends to slow down during busy hours though.

Would be 5 star if not...
Hotel is about a year open. Staff is very helpful and well trained. Room is spacious and nice. Breakfast is really good. But... the wifi in the rooms really sucks and in the lobby it is sometimes good sometimes not. I could not even open my mail sometimes.4G though has coverage in this area. Pity for a hotel like this. Besides that, they really need better pest control: in almost every stay I have killed at least 2 roaches in my bathroom and ants are everywhere.

Nice Hotel
Some web sites list all rooms as 30sq m but not so. If you are staying more than one night I would recommend the Admiral suite. Well worth the extra money. And you can bargain the price down. You'll have a view of the market place and more. The noise from the tricycles is a bit loud but I used ear plugs. I always travel with them. Hotel guests receive a discount in the restaurant but depending on whose on duty you may have to ask for it. House keeping attends to your needs quicker than any hotel I've ever stayed in and that's hundreds. I used grocery bags to tie the drapes in the middle to let light in. They are pretty much stationary. Admiral suite had a small fridge, not sure of other rooms but for a few pesos I'm sure one would be brought to your room. 10 or 20 pesos will get you a tricycle ride to most anyplace.
