Thank you Asiaten
From 4 months prior to our arrival the management and staff were fantastic. As first time visitors to the Philippines, we had several questions which the hotel were happy to answer. The Hotel even picked is up from the airport (at a cost) which this took the strains of having to locate transport (taxi/bus) on arrival at the hotel the staff were very polite and courteous with first impressions of a clean and looked after establishment, tje rooms were of a good size again very clean and well turned out, with a bonus of a working shower (few and far between on other foreign visits) breakfast was minimal but extremely tasty and keeps you going until lunch. The hotel location i think was perfect within easy walking distance to local shops and SM mall or you can get a trike easily.

Our overnight stay at Asiaten
We decided to book at Asiaten because of it's affordability and accessibility. We are actually going to Pangasinan but decided to have a stop over in Tarlac and drop by two popular places nearby - morning visit to Monasterio de Tarlac (in San Jose) and then lunch at Isdaan. it's a long weekend and we wanted to really unwind for a moment. Asiaten is accessible and easy to find as there are lots of signs pointing you to this place. it's accessible to restos, SM, and Karting. The place itself is serene, has a friendly atmosphere. I booked early that morning, like 3 hours before we go there and we were accommodated. The staffs are friendly too. I booked the room for 3 pax, with 3 single beds. It's a typical room with cabinet, own t&b, cable TV and wifi (that is much stronger outside). The bathroom door though, in our room needs to be fixed. I also thought I should have brought my own pillow, the one they had is too soft. Nothing special about the bed but it was a comfy sleep. There is no corkage fee and you can ask for hot water. They provide basic toiletries - toothbrush, small soap, toothpaste and shampoo. The breakfast is included in the package, I liked the typical Filipino breakfast they're serving paired with coffee. We had some good pictures, and the place is kinda romantic in the evening. Overall, it was a good overnight stay. :)

Quaint nice looking Spanish hints
Surprised by the nice look of this budget hotel. Cheap price which caters to the area. Needs to spend a little money to update facility. Toilet seats all cut up. Looks like someone used it as a cutting board. Beds are firm. Good for those with a bad back. Drains in room 201 move slow from calcium build up in pipes. Breakfast was yummy. We had the longanisa sausages (no casing), buffalo tapa, smoked fish, luncheon meat and tosino.

I booked a room for my two friends from Manila. The room was good for two pax for only 1200 pesos. Breakfast was already included. My friends enjoyed their stay.It was clean, spacious and was beyond my expectation.I recommend this place!

Terrible housekeeping
Asiaten looks very nice and well kept on the outside but inside, the rooms are not well maintained. I checked in here twice and both times I had issues with the bed and pillow linens. The first night I spent here I noticed that the blanket and pillows had dark spots on them. They were obviously dirty and not just stained so I went downstairs to the reception area and asked the lady if someone could change the sheets. The receptionist did it herself instead of a cleaning boy/lady. Second time I checked in here, same problem again. I was about to sleep but then I noticed that the pillows smelled obviously used! All three pillows! One pillow smelled like sweat, the other one smelled like stale perfume and the third smelled like shampoo! I was too tired and it was late already so I just covered the pillows with my own shirts so I don't have to put my face on dirty and disgusting pillowcases. I don't know if the management knows how crappy their housekeeping is. Definitely not coming back.
