A stunning resort with insanely fast wifi!
We booked this place using one of our free nights from Hotels.com as we were kind of stranded in Bohol/Panglao after our ferry to Dumaguete was cancelled just before boarding! So an emergency but luxury stay was needed! And wow did we choose well! This place is amazing - I write this from one of two double beds in their Premier deluxe room, right next to the large pool which has a cute little bridge crossing over it and a raised platform in the centre with sun loungers! Room is very spacious with TV, desk and mini bar. Our bathroom is amazing - we even discussed having the decor in our home! There is a bath which fills up quickly and has bath gels and flannels provided, a powerful, hot rain shower (shampoo/conditioner provided) with a separate divide for shower and toilet. Beautiful slate, rock and wooden design with spotlights on the wall. Very discreet air con (noise-wise) which makes the room perfectly cool which is so welcoming after a walk in the blazing sun. Food is fantastic, though a little expensive, however the happy hour cocktails (2 for 250 pesos) made up for this. Very nice meals and cocktails - great range of both. The grounds are superb - beautiful gardens, two pools and a private pebble beach with free snorkelling, paddle boarding and kayaking!! There are also other free activities onsite such as a little wooden ten pin bowling alley, ping pong near the pool bar and mountain bikes. There is an adventure playground and obstacle course for kids, ATV (quads) to hire for the big kids (200 pesos for 20 min). They've got it all here! Service is outstanding - security guy at the beach carried our paddle boards out into the sea for us - and wifi is unbelievably fast. What a fabulous place!

A Tropical Paradise within Reach
Just had a weekend vacation with my family in this resort and all I can say is WOW. Everything is great in this resort. From Food to amenities, ambiance, etc. Their hospitality is just superb. I have been into several resorts but nothing compares to their warm hospitality. Pampering you to the highest level I must say. The rooms are big and spacious. We had the Premier Deluxe and it was great. Very elegant room. The best thing about their rooms is they are close to a beautiful poolside bar and the main pool. The food, this is one of the highlight of our vacation. The food is simply stunning. Their legendary Adobo Rice is a must-try. Please you should have it or you will miss something on your stay. Food serve at the Aplaya is world-class. For your kids, they have their own space at the resort. They can do cooking with the chef or enjoy a gardening session at the resort's organic garden. Or they can Mango picking after a biking session. Overall, it was a perfect weekend vacation for us. One of the best experience we had.

A hidden gem, leaving you a feeling of an endless summer.
I booked a stay to this hotel a week prior to our flight since it seemed nice and reasonably price. True enough the pictures on their website was exactly the same. The bathroom and room were spacious, new and clean. Our room can fit 4 really, but we were only 2 and we had our own patio as well. The gardens were kept well, which makes the scenery better. You can even pick green mangoes, which i think is a very nice touch especially if you have foreign visitors with you.The pools were amazing, but the beach is only there for you to look at,swimming certainly not! They make up for it by having scheduled shuttles going to Alona beach and should you stay there past the free shuttle service the hotel can get you a tricycle. We had a complimentary massage called hinug an (not sure of the spelling, but sounds like that) and it was divine. During dinner we also had a free cultural show which was a great experience. Although, they failed to pick us up at the airport they made up for it with their superb customer service afterwards. It was a good choice for a quick getaway and value for money. It's a hotel for friends, family and couples. The massage alone is enough reason for me to go back.

What a great experience to a very secluded beautiful hotel.
The staff makes a huge difference to this hotel. Keep it up guys! Room was spacious Food was wonderful. The mango juice kills! My 14 year old daughter have to order 3x more a day. Got a taste of it..and tell me this is puree mango sooo good! better than the Coron mango juice. I will give the shout out again to the staff...I lost my sunglasses, drop it somewhere after riding the tricycle...guess what?.. I got it back. Also enjoyed playing your woody bowling alley by the front yard. Good long walk every morning. Not a good beach though...but visible starfishes by the shore. We had a great stay and good family experience.Beautiful.

Great resort for families with small kids!
The best thing about this hotel is the great service. The staff are absolutely amazing! I have 2 small kids, ages 7 and 4. The staff went out of their way to make sure the kids are entertained. There were always staff around to play with them in the activity area. The activity area have chess, different board games, hoola hoops, even "sungka". One time, one of my kids wants to go to the mini outdoor bowling area and one staff volunteered to take her and play with her. After 4 days, my kids know all of the staff's names and interacts with them like family. There's always a lifeguard when we go for a swim in the pool. All staff are very friendly and courteous. Do not miss the massage! I do not like deep massage since I just want a massage for relaxation. The massage therapist, Meme, was excellent. She knows exactly where to apply pressure. Book the massage at night so there's not too much noise. The pool was excellent. The beach, not so much. I'm really not a beach person so this suites me just fine. My kids had an excellent time in the pool. Going to Alona beach or nearby restaurants is easy. Just ask the reception to call you a tricycle, or if the resort van is available, they can take you. The tricycle ride costs from 50 to 100 pesos. The ala carte food is a bit pricey but good. The kids menu is great. The kids love the "dirty sundae" where the ice cream have a messy(but fun) chocolate syrup and gummy worms. The buffet can be improved. Their buffet breakfast is from 6 to 10 am, I think. We would usually arrive after 8 am (who wants to wake up early on their vacation?) and the food is not that hot anymore, and some of the food selection is empty and not replaced. They did give us a free dinner, which we appreciate. The room was great. We got a room with 2 queen beds, just right for me, my husband, and our 2 kids. There's a big bathtub that the kids enjoyed as well. I booked direct and the email responses were excellent. The pick up and drop off to and from the airport are great too.
