Affordable, good location
I stayed in Bonifacio Inn last August. Since I needed to stay for a night only, I didn't see the point in staying somewhere expensive. I chose Bonifacio Inn because it was three blocks away from the venue where my event was, and it was rather close to People's Park, Gaisano Illustre, Apo View Hotel - etc, places I am quite familiar with. There's also Philosophy Spa right in front of the inn. First impressions: 1) This inn is quite unassuming, it's a very, very small inn with a couple of rooms downstairs and upstairs. 2) The rooms are divided by plyboard/plywood and the floor/ceiling between the second and first floor as well, so dropping something on the floor will cause sound to resonate throughout the whole inn. 3) The inn's entrance is located right at the side walk but it has a guard at night, so am fine with safety. As the inn's walls and doors was made of very, very light materials, I couldn't help but be paranoid (people might just kick your door open for no reason, or a bullet from a gun shot from the other room can easily pass through the wall and hit you... because I think weird like that), but my night was uneventful. 4) Room was very, very small. It was... ok. There was a single bed, TV on the wall, small night stand and nothing else. 5) Bathroom was useful, but housekeeping forgot to remove a used brief from the rack and used soap from the sink (ew..). Had a toilet and extra soap and shampoo sachet. 6) Nothing else downstairs, I don't think they sold anything except water. 7) All in all, Bonifacio Inn was fine but I probably wouldn't stay there again by myself. Maybe with a group of friends. 8) With the size of its room and its overall amenities and features, I'd expect to pay lower than php 700 for the room. I've seen inns at PHP 500 to 700 per night with better rooms and locations.Just my two cents.
