Ordinary hotel
Stayed here for 3 nights and it was an ordinary experience. The room was acceptable with a bit odd decoration. Bathroom was fine, except that I could see the closet even when the door is closed. There were grocery shop nearby, which is good. I also saw many cafes and restaurants nearby (but not in walking distance, take tricycle), but didn't have chance to try them. They served western food with a bit of Korean taste for breakfast.

Only stay here if you have no valuables or want to pay for a deluxe room
Perhaps you get what you pay for. This is a new hotel, open a year. The decor is 'new' but it's poor quality. The design of the basic room is very poor. No storage whatsoever (no coathangers, no closet, no drawers or cupboards) so expect to live out of your suitcase, a noisy fridge that has to be unplugged, no fan in the bathroom (?!?) and moreover water from the shower forms puddles under the sink with nowhere to drain, which sits there until room service cleans every day. There are no safes and the hotel will not take your valuables, or take responsibility for their loss - so your valuables are at risk. Staff are not nasty but they are busy socializing with each other and take absolutely no initiative. Breakfast is mediocre (both Filipino and 'Western') and devoid of service - don't expect your plates to be cleared away, and you can ask for eggs but they won't tell you that. Staff tend to play their own music loudly on the speakers. I also had a cockroach in my room behind the tv.

Stay away because the smoke is here to stay
If you like the smell of stale smoke then this hotel is for you. The hotel has a nice location but I guess thats the only good think I can say about the place. The rooms are small, with small slits for windows.

You get what you paid for
We booked only for one night as we are unsure how good the hotel is. The hotel is relatively new, so everything looks clean and nice. However, the sink faucet is already loose. The room is really small, and there's no fridge, electric kettle or closet to place your clothes. You have to ask for bottled water if you want one. There's no comforter/ thick blanket, just thin sheet for blanket which can be insufficient when it gets colder in the middle of the night. We had to wake up and get up to turn the temperature up. We also had a problem with the water heater - it's just not hot enough. If it does get hot, only for a few seconds. There's buffet breakfast which serves Filipino and Korean food. Quite limited for Caucasians looking for a more continental breakfast. The selection is not wide, and it's a bit below average. The location is good as it is near the main roads, and right across the street is a supermarket and cafe. It's just a stone's throw away from other restaurants and bars in the area. However, the possible problem with its location is that the roads leading to it can get under water when there's really strong rain. There's a secured parking area, which is a good thing. After our first night, we decided to move to another hotel, even if it costs a bit more.
