Home by the Sea
Casa Bahia is a dive resort that hosts trainings and intro dive program apart from the regular diving activities. The resort itself is quaint with about 18 rooms but with varying sizes that can host single guests to families. Rooms in this resort are smaller than usual resorts. This is because it is primarily a dive resort where guests spend more time at sea than in the resort. They do, however, host non-divers as well since the resort has a homey atmosphere where one can just sit back, relax, watch the sunset and lay back to gaze at the stars at night. Casa Bahia has a wonderful view of the bay having 3 roof decks where guests can enjoy the sun, wind and the view. This is so perfect for after dive drinks and conversations, to unwind and just be. Casa Bahia has a well equipped dive center that provides everything you need. Staff are ever so helpful and attentive, taking care of all the things one will need for dive trips. Option to have lunch served on the boat is also available where luch is packed in bento boxes. And the most wonderful perk is the hot chocolate provided on the boat. Not instant, mind you, but the traditional tsokolate batirol of Batangas. Yummy! On a recent trip, I also found out that the dive center staff has been given training as divers and has gained certification from RAID (Casa Bahia is an official partner of RAID). This is good to know as it gives one the feeling that any of the staff is knowledgable and able to explain the techinicalities of diving. And it is also a great reflection of the management of the resort to have staff advance in their professions. The owners and staff of Casa Bahia are so nice! They are so hospitable and warm and they attend to all your needs. Meals are served family style or buffet, depending on the number of groups in the resort. Food is mostly home cooked, familiar viands and desserts which is delicious and will definitely make you feel at home.

Great diving experience and cosy hotel w
Visited with family on the weekend. Easy to find the place( on waze) around 3 hours from Manila. Cosy place and very friendly staff. Excellent diving instructor( Bell Cruzet and his team). Overall a lovely way to spend the weekend!

Unforgettable Dives
Came with a group of fun divers and mad photographers. It was my first time in Anilao and it was definitely worth the hype, although I could have done without the 3-hour drive from Manila after a early morning flight. The resort is still new, well-maintained and as advertised in the photos, with the roof top decks and fancy interior decoration. Eric and Jane were great hosts throughout. I was a bit surprised how small the rooms were - they would have looked very normal in Japan! :) However the aircon was nice and cold, heater was hot and functional, and the tap water was not salty. For a dive trip, the room was adequate but I guess one would not spend too much time indoors anyway. Food was local and enough to power us up for the dives. The dive center is 1 min walk from the resort and Louis, the DM was as sharp in his spotting as the best DMs go. The highlight of the trip was the Rhinopias we spotted and photographed like a crazy mob (no harm to the poor fish, of course). Make sure you go for the pier dive at night - well worth the chill. If I have any feedback for improvement, I would suggest they aircondition the dining area. Eventhough it was raining during our time, the room was warm and stuffy. Wifi was poor - if coming in from overseas, buy a local SIM from nearby the resort and not the airport as that operator may have poor coverage where the resort is. Overall it was quiet until the weekend, when partygoers checked in and were noisy right outside our rooms. Eric should find them another place in the resort. In terms of accommodation it would be hard to give more than 3 stars, but the dive quality and the dive teams helped push it to a 4 star.

Owners are Avid Divers, so fantastic for divers
The food was amazing, been here like three years ago when it was newly build but now, it just improved by a whole lot. Very classy interiors and a total combined three roof decks can get you a private nook. Has a small pool good for dive training. The diving is surprisingly good, the owners have become avid owners themselves why the top notch service for diving. WIFI could improve but its an Anilao area thing anyway where internet speeds are torpid regardsless what internet provider you use

Very nice dive resort
That was my first diving trip to the Philippines. Many people warned me of storms, but I had the perfect sunny weekend. Because I arrived "out of season" the dives on Friday were with 2 guests and the boss joined us. Saturday was busier, but still fine. The organisation of the dives was very good. One thing to mention: tell them in advance if you need a BCD in XL, they do not have it on stock. The dive sites nearby are great! The rooms are a bit small and simple. I would not take my wife with me as she might get bored their. ... but the food is great! That kitchen crew does a very good job. Just to mention: you get Philippino food, not the European standard - which means rice, rice, rice and lots of barbecued meat. :-) Alone for the food I would return. Internet (WIFI) is only available near to the main house and it's slow. I'm sure, I will return for another dive.
