No Frills but more than acceptable.
Okay, this is not a luxury hotel. So now we've got that out the way... The rooms are a little on the small side, but there's plenty to do within walking distance and even more within a few minutes drive, so why stay in your room? The views of the volcano at the top of the road are amazing, and there's more restaurants than you could ever want. There's plenty of tricycles available to take you on excursions/trips and are all about the same price. The place is clean and towel, soap, toilet paper etc is provided on arrival. Toothbrush, shampoo etc. isn't, but it's not a luxury hotel. The water was hot and constant whenever I used it. The reception staff are discreet and will be happy to run to the store for anything you require and assist with your needs. The price via AirBnB was very reasonable and contacting the hotel itself may result in discount. The Tagaytay Association Of Hotels set the prices in the area, so it's pretty much the same wherever you go. Wifi is available in the lobby and there's plenty of seats and sofas to make yourself comfortable while you catch up on emails etc. All in all, a decent place to stay if you want somewhere to rest at the end of a day exploring. Perhaps not advised if you enjoy staying in your hotel room all day and night.

Not worth your money.
At this time of year, Tagaytay is one of the nearest places to the capital, and one of the coldest spots in the country. BUT Tagaytay is generally overpriced and underwhelming, just like this inn. The only good thing here is the location. It is near the fruit stands and take home stop and it sits along the national highway (sta.rosa-tagaytay) and is in walking distance proximity to the main tagaytay-calamba road. From the door, you can immediately see that it was refurbished from an old inn named Casa Bella. So I wasn't really expecting much. The lobby reflects the structures age and the receptionists i cannot call trained, but were accomodating. The hallways were dimly lighted and the room was tiny even for a budget hotel, not the size I was expecting for the price I paid. In the room, we immediately noticed the laminated menu/extra charges table and were amazed everything was to be charged: Shampoo, Toothbrush, Soap, towels, Pillows, Name it, its charged. TV was a small CRT with bunny antennas we couldn't even use. The toilet had no tissue roll and when we woke up the next morning, also had no water. We had to go to reception to report it and found out they were doing something in the basement (not repairs, like laundry) that is using up all the water in the pipes. On top of all that, NOT Surprisingly, we got charged additional for checking out late, 200php by the hour. And we never even got to use the air conditioning the whole time.

Not recommended, for the price.
Stayed here last weekend in the midst of an extremely cold and windy Tagaytay night. We pre-booked this at Php 2300, a price that is a norm in the area. The room was small, aged and the tiled flooring really was killing my feet combined with the weather that night. You can see nice details on the curtains and coat hangers, other than that it's all flat. Water pressure was very poor, I had to check with the front desk since somebody is doing some sort of laundry or whatever at the basement and this hogs the single pipeline supply for the entire building. The worst part is that, although we knew that check out time is 12 noon, the next day, we were waken up by the attendant at 1 pm, asking if we are going to extend or not. I said, no we're just going to pack out things and leave. Checking out, she asked for additional 200 because we were past the check out time. Not to be a cheapskate here, my point is why didn't they woke us up at 11 am, and giving us time to pack and take shower for us to be gone by 12 noon? She knocked the door past 1pm, asking if we will extend or not, the truth is we are all already behind an hour when she did that. :( Anyway, perhaps Tagaytay is simply that expensive in terms of Hotel/B&B. We had a great time outside though, go to this place with caution.

Not For Me...
Forced by circumstance to stay here because of a family event nearby. Since the place was booked for us, we had no choice. The place is located conveniently enough along the Santa Rosa Tagaytay Road, near the ridge so the climate was pretty cool. From the outside, the place looked quaint enough. Having stayed in a few properties ranging from budget to luxe, I usually set my expectations low so as I will have a smaller chance to be disappointed. It appears I did not set my expectations low enough. First off, the only plus side in my stay was the location and wifi. Other than that, it was a total disaster. The rooms were tiny, and the bathroom was even smaller (smallest I've seen so far). Beddings were laughable and the "extra bed" which they charged us for was a skinny piece of foam with no sheets! Two small pillows in a double bed which causes stiff neck due to poor quality. Located along a main highway, street noise was very noticeable, adding to the poor sleep quality. Wifi in the lobby was a redeeming factor (hence the upgrade from 1 to 2*) but no access anywhere else. The owner was trying to be friendly, but I find her to be too nosy in other people's business. Not for me. Nunca mas!
