The facilities of this hotel is not at all impressive but if you are a person who loves something rustic and adores nature, then you can definitely find a quiet and relaxing time away from the noise of the city in this hotel. Beaches are a bit far, around 10 mins from the place itself but tricycles are always available in case you failed to bring a car. The place looks better at night time with all the lights on. One thing good about this place is that they only have less than 10 rooms, so it's not crowded. When we checked in, it seemed like we are the only guests that time so we always get special attention from the staff. I love the staff there, they are so accommodating, polite and friendly. If you want to experience something more, better book on weekends so you could see their arts and music students during their classes and could watch them doing a recital as well.

Cozy Bed and Breakfast at Zambales
Our family stayed here for New Year. We reserved two deluxe rooms and one family room. The entry to the family room had a living room but it had a musty smell, hence we did not use it. The family room itself though was well maintained with 1 king bed and 2 deluxe beds. Rates already include breakfast. The deluxe rooms have comfy beds but one of the rooms had a malfunctioning air-con. The staff was very nice. There were only four staffs there for the holiday and one of them was Jeff who helped us from bags to serving the food to taking our pictures. Reserving the rooms were very easy as well. I just sent them a message in their Facebook page and the manager Arman was nice enough to answer all my questions - which is quite a lot :)) If ever you'll be staying in a different resort you can also try their restaurant which as reviewed by others have 'lots of Instagram worthy' nooks. Our favorite was the 60's van at the back with old books. There is also a museum nearby with paintings from the owner's sister. Another reason why I didn't give perfect rating other then the AC in the room is that because a lot of the stuff in the menu was unavailable - probably because of the holidays. I would also love to see an event of children playing violin which was not done because of the holidays, but they were gracious enough to invite us for lantern flying for New Year celebration :) Btw the place is not beachfront but it is 5 minutes via car to San Miguel Beach which always had high tide so we opted to go to Pundaquit Beach which is around 10 minutes via car.

Visited it secodn time, loved it equally
This was the second time we stayed in Casa San Miguel, and we again loved it equally. They have two types of rooms - the one below was beautiful but had the Ac rather low so we requested to shift to the upper rooms - these are much bigger, but we were only charged 2500 pesos for them. The washroom was nearly as big as a standard hotel room! it had a big bathtub etc. The main room actually had a large bed and a seating space. The B&B is actually the ancestral home of a violin player, and designed more as an artists retreat (there was a painter staying in the room next to us) It has a lovely museum (free entry) and a concert hall (no concerts when we visited) and a good restaurant (only one limitation - the restaurant does not have many items. however, the chef was rather accommodating - he said tell us what you want and we will make it as long as I have the ingredients!). Service is a bit slow (they said it is because there are very few guests). There are nice orchards surrounding the casa, which looks very European, and it is very beautiful esp. in the morning. The beach at San Miguel is just 10 minutes walk away and pretty untouristy. We were the only tourists there - everyone else was a resident! To reach here - take a provincial bus from Olongapo to San Miguel. Disembark at the municipal hall and take a trike (it will cost 15-25 pesos). There are also UV vans but I do not recommend them as they get cramped. The bus is far better. Incidentally, the Ramon Magsaysay museum at Castillejos is about 30 minutes away and well worth visiting.

perfect place for instagram worthy photos
this is my favorite Zambales destination so far! i did not stay overnight but i loooove the place! the entrance of the casa is great for horror movies shooting (kidding!) but there are so many trees it gives me goosebumps. they'll ask you for a 100 entrance fee but this is already good for unlimited cups of starbucks coffee! i've been here for 3x already and every time there are new developments. my favorite place is the library/bookshop. the food is superb and price worthy! I love it when I get a chance to hear their student playing violins. it's incredible relaxing. i will never be tired to go here and will definitely comeback!

Overpriced for what it offers
It was my second time that year for me to stay in this B&B. The first room I had was okay, decorwise but the facilities within the rooms are of very poor quality. I know these rooms are relatively new because earlier during the year, we dined in the restaurant and toured the place and the accommodation rooms were still being constructed (or maybe renovated?). The high ceiling style is not ideal for air-conditioning as it require the big air conditioners to cool it but what they have in each room are small zircon units. It was raining hard when I stayed in November and the water leaked inside directly onto the second bed where my helper was sleeping. As soon as the rain stopped, I asked the evening personnel to move us to another room, knowing we were the only guests, but I received excuses instead of action. Poorly trained people. Considering that the hotel rate is rather on the high side, you don't really get value for your money here. My complaint to the manager the next day was heeded though already too late to recover lost sleep and my helper caught a cold because of the incident. We were not even offered any compensation for what happened. This place really needs serious improvement in terms of management, quality and service.

Quaint Restaurant
My husband and I had lunch here after our trip to Potipot and was amazed. The place is to artsy, makes you feel so sophisticated. The food is good and affordable too they even have free Starbucks coffee during our visit. The place is a music/art school that supports locals who can't afford schooling. We didn't stayed on the hotels but we will probably soon.
