The room was clean, towels, slivers of soap were provided. The bathroom was clean too, with plenty of water. Free breakfast was provided which includes, corn beef, bread and coffee.Television with cable connection was provided, strong WiFi but only outside the rooms. The staff were accommodating and overall the place was really good.

Lack of cleanliness, dirty toilet and smelly linens .
It is cheap but unfortunately dirty . I cant even imagine how housekeepers cleaned this stuff . As u see it is brownish and yellowish drainage, dirty toilet bowl seat , Im so dissapointed about this . Eto po ba ang pinagmamalaki ng casa teofila?? Ughhhhhh so sad ano nalang ba ginagawa ng mga Housekeepers at di malinis_linisan mga rooms . And besides bat amoy kulob mga beddings and specially yung pillow cases ? Smells parang di pinalitan? How rediculous it was .

No value for money
The only hotel who could accommodate us a week before the holy week and now i know why.. all hotels are fully booked already. The only thing liked in this hotel is they have parking area for guests cars. During our sightseeing we've seen the hotels we've inquired and called but they doesn't seem to have parking area. We came as 5 adults and 1 child. 3 adults stayed at a room good for 3 and then me and my husband and our 1y.o child stayed at a good for 2 room. I was able to check the other room and the airconditioning is quite good. They have a very cool room. While my family is suffering on a room with an old aircon and it's hot. And i even have my 1yr old child with me in the same room and he can't sleep without ac on. So i told the front desk and they just told me to leave the ac on when we leave the room so that when we come back it will be all set and cool. When we came back it's cooler but still not as cool as the other room. And the people from the front desk just told me that the other room have a new ac and ours is old. Instead of transferring us to other rooms that are still available. The room next to ours is also a room good for 2 at that time we arrived it is available. When we came back i saw a couple in there. The staff should have considered transferring us to that room since we came in first and considering we have a child. Another thing when we arrived and checked in our room there's no towels available we even have to request for it. 1500 for that room isn't worth the value. It could have been priced less since the guests already complained and they can't replace their ac. I usually take pictures of our hotel rooms even if it's just a cheap hotel or apartelle. But with casa teofila lodge there's nothing good i wanted to take pictures of. Only the key chain of the room key since it has number 8 on it.. and yes it's room 8 that has the worst airconditioning system i ever experienced in our travels.

Last Resort but Cheap and Early Check-In Allowed
The only reason we chose this place is because all other lodgings were fully booked. It boasts of its reputation for being cheap, and that's exactly what you'll get. Simple accommodations for the necessary night's sleep w/ clean beds, airconditioning, cable TV and a private bath and toilet. Rooming options available for couples, families, or barkada/groups; including dormitory type and extra bed (P250) or extra person/young kids (P200). Early check-in is allowed at 7AM unlike other hotels but no complimentary breakfast included. Food is available for ordering though but their softdrinks tend to be warm and you have to pay extra for the icecubes. They also sell Vigan longganisa and bagnet as pasalubong.items in case you forget to buy while sightseeing. No wifi in rooms, so u have to go down to the reception area. Quite far from the city proper so tricycle rides are essential. Better to rent a "suki" trike driver for the duration of your trip.

we arrived earlier than expected and it was the only choice available
We arrived several hours ahead of schedule and cannot check-in yet in the hotel that we booked. After asking 6 hotels for an available room at 3 in the morning, Casa Teofila was the one that had rooms left. Tired, we grudgingly checked-in. The price was steep (Php 1,400) for a six-hour stay; they did not prorate the rates despite the really short stay. The facilities were terrible. The room and washroom was dusty. The faucet in the washroom was not working properly. The wifi was weak; my data connection was faster. Also, I had to ask several times before we were provided with towels and toiletries.

We stayed the last week of May for a night. Considered staying an extra night but after experiencing the quality of the accommodation, we decided to head on home to Manila. First of all, an extra charge of P 200 for an extra mattress to be placed on the floor was absurd! We rented a room enough for 10 so we figured with 8 of us, we can just rent an extra mattress or two. Forget that! It wasn't like they were going to give you high end quality mattress. As soon as we got in the room, mosquitoes were everywhere. Worst in the small bathroom! We told them about the swarm of mosquitoes and requested for them to spray. Sure they sprayed, but with an air freshner!!! I couldn't sleep all night worrying about Dengue fever. The air conditioner was not cold, you couldn't connect to the WIFI unless you sit outside in the lobby area, there were no extra outlets in the room to charge your electronic devices (so again, the kids had to sit in the lobby to charge everyone's phones). We ordered breakfast but had to find an employee every time for water, extra plates, forks, etc...As we were checking out the next day, our driver had pulled up our vehicle next to the lobby so we can load up and leave but he was continuously asked to move. Mind you, the vehicle was not left unattended. Engine was running making it obvious that we were checking out. The staff could use an in-service on the following: better costumer service, make eye contact and SMILE! I am a balik bayan and would be embarrassed to recommend CTL even to the locals.
