For a price of additional person for breakfast buffet of 500+/person, there were short selections. There was no bacon available when we arrived at the resto.

Stay was great except for the internet. You need to reenter the username and password everytime you connect, which is a huge pain.

I like the location as it's just 5-min walk to Ayala Center. I like the room, it's very spacious, as well as the bathroom. Staff are nice and accommodating. However, food isn't that great. Most food they serve during breakfast are too salty. Their WiFi bad! The connection is unstable. I end up using my mobile data than connecting to their intermittent wireless connection. And lastly, they should've put at least one designated smoking area.

Cebu Parklane International Hotel is my home here in Cebu city! It's few blocks away to Ayala Center Cebu and Cebu I.T Park. Big room, comfortable bed, has bathtub, and good location.

There was a problem with their WIFI. All throughout our stay, we were unable to use it.

Disappointing!
I understand their parking validation is for security purposes, but when we lost our parking ticket, the security guard named Alejandro Omnus wouldnt let us pass and insisted that we either go back to the 4th floor or go to the front office to ask for a receipt. Isnt it possible to hust radio a person to check the restaurant or cal front office for clearance? Really? Hassle sobra. Where did customer service go?

Disappointing to be honest
I will admit that being a GM in the resort/hotel industry in a number of countries prior to my arrival in the Philippines that I do fully understand that hotels don't always get it right and service staff have 'off-days'. I too have been on the receiving end of published negative reviews where reviewers have tended to "inflate" or "distort" facts which makes a review all the more frustrating to deal with. With that said, I can't in good conscience not review this hotel given the events of my week-long stay. This hotel wasn't my first choice as my regular Cebu hotel was fully-booked. I chose this hotel based purely on its location. The GOOD The rooms are very large and tastefully decorated with everything in excellent working order. They were very clean, the hot/cold water in the bathroom had excellent working pressure and overall I thought the room was reasonably good value for the money. The breakfast I have to say is by far one of the best that I have ever encountered in a hotel, anywhere in the world - it was simply amazing in its abundance of choices and the quality sublime as was the F & B personnel on duty at the time. The security staff standing outside are exceptionally friendly, accommodating and generally helpful in every aspect. Whacky (yes; that's his name) on the front desk was pleasant and exceptional - a credit to the hotel. It is literally a 2-minute walk in to the Ayala Mall that houses cinemas, stores, restaurants and fast food - so that is a huge bonus and hugely convenient. The BAD Aside from the security personnel, F & B staff and the housekeeping staff; everyone else connected to the hotel and especially the Front Desk staff were as miserable as sin - never a smile to be seen in the whole week that I was in Park Lane apart from Whacky. After booking the hotel on Booking.com, I honestly couldn't remember whether breakfast was included and as it was not mentioned on the confirmation voucher I called Park Lane directly to enquire as to whether I had breakfast included. Their answer was "yes - it is included". OK, cool - good stuff or so I thought... During the check-in with the most miserable front office woman that I've ever come across in 27 years of managing service industry staff, I was then informed breakfast wasn't included. And the truth be known, I wasn't about to argue too much as I was just too tired. She did concede to give me breakfast for ONE DAY starting the next morning - Better than nothing I suppose but it went downhill from then-on. Went down for breakfast the next morning to be turned away by friendly F & B staff who said I was in the their system as not booked in for breakfast - so back to the Front Desk I went to be told that my breakfast was for the day previous! Ok, but I didn't check in until nearly 5pm!. Got it sorted in the end for just that one day. Having eaten out that day, I brought in some food and asked to have it re-heated. I was charged P100 for the privilege and made to sign a Waiver! I understand the need for a waiver I guess but to charge a paying guest P100 to nuke it in a microwave for 30-seconds? Asked for an extra pillow and then I was informed by Housekeeping that there would be an additional cost. When asked to explain why, they said that it had something to do with the cost of soap powder. No idea what they meant and I gave up. Everything about this hotel (except the room rate through booking.com) was very expensive. Breakfast, the minibar (much more expensive than 5 star hotels), restaurant and hidden charges for what I would consider normal customer service. There seemed to be outrageous prices at every turn. The entire hotel is a non-smoking facility and I appreciate and respect that they are invoking these rules but the only place smokers could go was out across the road through puddles and floating garbage - not great when it's raining. The hotel does have an outside bar & restaurant where smoking could have been possible, so I fail to understand why the hotel does not cater to the minority of guests that are smokers. Again it all goes down to customer service and general service industry hospitality. What really stood out to me is that this hotel is not customer-oriented. I found it to be very unfriendly and unwelcoming. It wasn't a pleasant stay for this reason.

Conveniently located with good service
I recommend this hotel If you have appointment or business meeting in the Cebu business district or IT park. The location is good as it's in the major thoroughfare with lot's of taxi. The hotel is clean and the staff is courteous and friendly. The room where I stayed is good and clean too with complimentary fruits as snacks. It has the basic amenities and toiletries. Breakfast buffet is decent enough. internet through their WIFI is spotty at times.

Perfect Location
I got a cozy superior room with city view. I love that it’s fully carpeted. The bed is comfortable, ambiance is quiet which is perfect for people who are longing for good sleep. What I love the most, though, is the bathtub. Any hotel room with a bathtub always gets an additional star from me.

Fantastic staff
This has to be the best hospitality I've had so far especially the reception guy who name is Benedict. He was most helpful and made sure our stay was perfect. Upgraded us to a better room each time we stayed. The rooms are very good and spacious also breakfast very nice with wide variety of dishes. We also had our daughters birthday party there and it was great. We will always stay here when we come back here, for sure.
