Basic, but a pleasant stay
Stayed here with my boyfriend for a week after booking through airbnb. The pictures showed a cute little bamboo room, so we thought it would be unique. Pros: - close to the centre of town and port where tours go from - basic yummy breakfast included (eggs, pancakes, banana, tea/coffee) - mopeds to hire for only £10/600php for a whole day. Only cost like £3 to fill the tank! - room cleaned daily, fresh sheets, mosquito nets (bit holey so could be replaced) - good air con, room gets very cold - lovely host girl (didn't catch her name), she would clean daily and help with anything you need Cons: - ridiculously noisy. There are gaps in the windows/doors as it is all bamboo, so you can hear absolutely everything going on in the street outside - motorbikes revving from 4am onwards, dogs barking/fighting at all hours, cockerels every few hours throughout the night - it meant we got hardly any sleep and felt knackered all week. You can even hear people walking in flip flops on the street outside. Ear plugs are essential if you stay here. - power goes out regularly but this happens all over el nido, the girl would kindly bring us up a fan and turn the generator on when this happened - very poor wifi, but again this is expected in el nido and just as bad in art cafe where people go to use wifi - have to accept this in such a remote location! - room very small for two people, quite cramped and no space to sit or move around - mirror in bathroom would be nice, our sink leaked underneath too, but it was a wet room so didn't really matter - shower water smells of egg for first few minutes, so let it run before you get in! Overall we grew to like this place after a week and we're glad it was within walking distance of bars and the sea. We had some great days exploring on the moped to nacpan/maremegmeg beaches and also boat tours. The road is very dark/remote at night and not near many other accommodations.. you are literally living amongst the locals which was a great experience, however I probably wouldn't walk home alone as a female! One night a stray dog lying on a tricycle woke up and wanted to chase us down the street barking which was a bit scary! The host girl was lovely and very accommodating and went out of her way to make our stay pleasant.

In the hood... charming, but bring ear plugs.
So this place is not so bad considering the price.... however my particular room was farthest from the router and closest to the neighbors. Poor wifi in my room, and the neighbor's rooster was so close it felt like it was in my bed with me. Every finger-licking morning at 12:00am, 4:00am, and 7:30am that rooster announces himself proudly to world relentlessly, and without shame or regard....as is his nature. Bring ear plugs. The hosts are pretty nice and very helpful actually. She put up with some of my crap and I give her a ton of credit for that. 10 min walk fro the tourist center, restaurants, bars and the only beach in El Nido proper. A/C, hot shower, no TV, free simple breakfast, mosquito net. No complaints.

Clean room in a quiet part of town
We booked this place from airbnb, it cost approximately S$ 90/night. It was probaby peak season because a lot of the hotels we searched online were even more expensive than this. The room is smaller than how it looks in the photos. Host was very responsive in emails and he helped to arrange the shared van from Puerto Princesa to El Nido. However, you need to take tricycle from the terminal to the place (only cost 50PHP though). Location is good because it is within walking distance to the restaurants/bars/ beach, but in a quiet part of the town, so you dont get the noisy bit. The room itself is clean and fairly comfortable. On the second night we stayed, there was no electricity so no AC and light, but the electricity came back at about 3 am. This seems to be a problem around the town, because when we walk around at night some shops would appear dark. Wifi is not excellent, but probably good to disconnect while you are on holiday!

Noisy but nice
We stayed here for 3 nights mid November. Although the staff were lovely and bedrooms clean - I'm not sure I would recommend the hotel due to the noise. Obviously being in El Nido can be noisy but this place was next level due to the bamboo walls - you can hear, word for word, your neighbours talking, showering and using the toilet. However the service was amazing and breakfast was great :)

Laid back and budget friendly
If you are looking for a laid back, budget friendly and native type of accomodation CED Pension is a great finds. I love how the staff treated us. She waited us to arrived even its was almost midnight. The location is good, a five minute walk is fair enough away from the bustling area of El Nido. An awesome limestone mountain view and flying swiftlets(if you wake up at 6am). The room has very good airconditioning, good shampoo and liquid soap(it will moisturized your skin), hot and cold water although sometimes the water pressure is low, but it is understanble why it got into that point. I hope CED Pension would consider these improvements: a. Breakfast options (it would be better if the foreign/local tourist has an option for breakfast) b. Better WIFI connection c. Big mirror per room Above all it was a great stay. CED Pension offers the simplicity of El Nido and laid back vacation
