Century Spire is situated at Kalayaan Avenue, Poblacion, Makati, Metro Manila, Philippines, 1210. This address places you in a well-known district within the city, offering a blend of residential calm and proximity to commercial hubs. Poblacion itself has evolved into a popular area, known for its diverse culinary scene and lively atmosphere, making it an interesting neighborhood to explore right outside your doorstep. Pet Policy at Century Spire

For travelers who consider their pets part of the family, Century Spire has a pet-friendly policy, though with certain considerations. It's always advisable to confirm the specific details and any associated fees or restrictions directly with the hotel when making your reservation to ensure a smooth stay for both you and your pet.

This policy can be a significant factor for many Filipino travelers who find it difficult to leave their pets behind when traveling. Knowing that your pet can accompany you can make the journey much more enjoyable and less stressful. Century Spire's approach to accommodating pets makes it a more inclusive option for a broader range of travelers looking for a comfortable place to stay in Metro Manila.

When you arrive, have your identification and booking confirmation ready. The hotel staff at the 24-hour reception will assist you efficiently through the process, ensuring you can settle into your apartment without delay.

If you happen to arrive earlier than the 15:00 check-in time, it's worth inquiring at the front desk if your room is ready. While early check-in isn't guaranteed, the hotel may be able to accommodate you if the room has been prepared. Alternatively, you can often leave your luggage with the hotel staff and begin exploring the surrounding area of Poblacion, Makati, until your room is available. This allows you to make the most of your time from the moment you arrive.

For your departure, the check-out time is before 12:00 noon. This allows ample time for the hotel to prepare the rooms for incoming guests. If you have a flight or a later engagement, you can typically request to store your luggage with the hotel after checking out. This service is very convenient, enabling you to continue your activities in Makati without the burden of carrying your bags. Just coordinate with the 24-hour front desk regarding luggage storage.

Your Travel Guide to Makati as a Filipino Traveler

How to Get to Makati from Manila and Major Philippine Cities

For travelers coming from other islands or regions in the Philippines, flying into Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) in Metro Manila is the most common route. From NAIA, you can easily reach Makati by taxi, ride-sharing services, or airport shuttle buses. The travel time can range from 30 minutes to over an hour, depending heavily on traffic. Booking your book flight in advance can often secure better fares, especially if you plan your trip during off-peak seasons.

If you are traveling from nearby provinces on Luzon, bus services are a practical and budget-friendly option. Numerous bus terminals in Metro Manila serve routes from various provincial towns. Once you arrive at a bus terminal in the city, you can then take a taxi, jeepney, or train to reach Makati. The cost of bus tickets varies widely depending on the origin and bus company, but generally offers a more economical way to travel compared to flying for shorter distances.

Driving your own vehicle or taking a car service is another possibility, especially if you are coming from areas within Luzon that are accessible by road. Makati is well-connected by major expressways and thoroughfares. However, be prepared for significant traffic, particularly during peak hours. Navigating through Metro Manila can be challenging, so using GPS navigation apps is highly recommended to find the most efficient routes to your destination within Makati.

Best Time to Visit Makati

The Philippines experiences a tropical climate, and Makati is no exception. The best time to visit for most Filipino travelers seeking pleasant weather is during the dry season, which typically runs from November to April. During these months, you can expect lower humidity and less rainfall, making it more comfortable for outdoor activities and exploring the city. Temperatures generally range from the mid-20s to low 30s Celsius.

The period from December to February is often considered the coolest and most comfortable part of the dry season, making it a popular time for both local and international tourists. However, this also means it can be peak season, with higher hotel rates and more crowds at popular attractions. If you prefer fewer crowds and potentially better deals on accommodation, consider visiting during the shoulder months of November or late April.

The wet season, from May to October, brings higher humidity and frequent rain showers, sometimes heavy and prolonged. While this might deter some travelers, it can also mean fewer tourists and lower prices for flights and hotels. If you don't mind occasional rain and are prepared with an umbrella or raincoat, you can still have a great time exploring Makati's indoor attractions and enjoying its culinary scene.

Food and Dining Near Makati — What Filipino Travelers Must Try

No visit to the Philippines is complete without indulging in Adobo, the unofficial national dish. This savory and tangy stew, typically made with chicken or pork braised in soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, and peppercorns, is a staple in Filipino households. You can find excellent versions of Adobo in many local eateries and restaurants around Makati, offering a comforting taste of home or a delicious introduction for first-time visitors.

Another must-try is Sinigang, a sour and savory soup that comes in various forms, most commonly with pork, beef, or seafood. The distinct sourness, usually derived from tamarind, is incredibly refreshing and pairs perfectly with steamed rice. Many Filipino restaurants in Makati will feature Sinigang on their menu, providing a hearty and flavorful meal that showcases the unique taste profiles of Filipino cuisine.

For those with a sweet tooth, Halo-Halo is an iconic Filipino dessert that is perfect for the tropical climate. This colorful concoction is a delightful mix of shaved ice, milk, sweet beans, fruits, jellies, leche flan, and ube ice cream. It’s a refreshing and visually appealing treat that offers a burst of different flavors and textures in every spoonful. You’ll find many places offering this popular dessert.

Finally, don't leave without trying Lechon, a whole roasted pig known for its incredibly crispy skin and succulent meat. While often a centerpiece for celebrations, many restaurants in Makati offer Lechon portions, allowing you to savor this delicacy. The rich flavor and satisfying crunch make it a truly memorable culinary experience that embodies Filipino celebratory food culture.

Local Culture, Safety Tips, and Essential Apps for Makati

Filipinos are known for their hospitality and warmth. When interacting with locals in Makati, a friendly demeanor and polite greetings like "Magandang araw" (Good day) or "Salamat" (Thank you) are always appreciated. Respect for elders and public spaces is also important. While Makati is generally safe, especially in commercial areas, it's always wise to be aware of your surroundings, particularly in crowded places, to avoid petty theft.

When it comes to safety, it's advisable to keep your valuables secure and avoid displaying expensive items openly. Stick to well-lit and populated areas, especially at night. If you are using taxis or ride-sharing services, ensure they are reputable and that the meter is used or the fare is agreed upon beforehand. For emergencies, having the local police hotline number readily available can provide peace of mind during your stay.

For navigating the city and staying connected, several apps are highly useful for Filipino travelers. Ride-sharing apps like Grab are essential for convenient transportation. Navigation apps such as Google Maps are indispensable for finding your way around. For dining and discovering local spots, apps like Zomato or local food blogs can offer great recommendations. Staying connected with a local SIM card or ensuring your roaming plan is active will also be beneficial.

The property was ok. Spacious inside. The only issue i had was that i wasn't left with much in the way of essentials. It has a washing machines but no pods our powder was left. There was no tea or coffee left either. I was left with 2 towels only, and they were very good quality. I asked for replacements but was ignored. 2 small towels to last 2 weeks was a disgrace. I had to purchase cleaning materials also as nothing was left

Poor to no Wi-Fi signal everyday Despite modern building the place has roaches. I stayed in two units 3921 and 4622 each had roaches. Other units had door guards to prevent the roaches from crawling into the unit.
