Clean and nice buffet. Will definitely come back

Upon checking in, we were transferred to twin room with 2 single bed being moved together to form 1 bed. The room that we checked in smells cigar. Dental kit is also not available that time that I have to call first to request for it. And mind you, I have to call again to follow up after half an hour. Everything is okay except from the above. The breakfast was good and the location.

Manila Training Course
The hotel was clean and quiet. All of the Staff were helpful and polite. Buffet breakfast was well presented and had enough options to meet my requirements. The room was a bit small and the mattress was a but worn and stiff. There was a shopping center within walking distance and the SM Manila was about twenty minutes by Taxi.

LOVELY VISIT, GOOD LOCATION
I enjoyed my stay at Garden City. It has a lovely location and the staff are super friendly. I paid 3000 pesos on my credit card at the time of booking, but when I got to the hotel, they were adamant that I did not pay this fee despite showing them the text from my bank. So I ended up paying the full 5000+ pesos despite already pre-paying 3000. However, the room was nice and there were optional tours and airport shuttles. The shower was a bit old but all was very comfortable and would stay here again. Lovely rooftop bar and pool, too.

It's great for the price
We've arrived 4 of us on a business trip. One of our colleagues had a bit of an issue with accommodation being mixed up, instead of a room with a nice window he had the inside room. It took some time to fix it, but to be fair the staff was amazing and very helpful 24/7. We've stayed overall about 10 days in here, accommodations were all arranged by our colleagues, maybe that we'd prefer different place to stay but it is what it is. I know that some of us had issues with room quality etc, but hey we're not in the place to argue. Overall my only disappointment was the A/C it was horrendous, it was loud and uncontrollable. Other thing is a gym, i didn't expect much, so i wasn't shocked with equipment but again the A/C is too cold. Maybe it's something that the management should take a look into. Other than that i was pleased. Meals, well it's exotic for some sort, but oh my goodness the short-ribs are AMAZING!

Home away from home
We always stay at City Garden every time we visit the Philippines. Since 2005. We tried other hotels similarly rated with swimming pool facility but nothing compared to its staff hospitality and room size. It's location is perfect when you want to travel on to the Islands. It's walking distance to City State Hotel where you can buy your tickets and catch the bus to Puerto Galera. It's 30-40 minutes ride away from the airport. I have learned that the rooms at the old building side are bigger than the newer extension side. For this reason, I have always requested to be at the old building side. The downside is, there is only one lift in the old building which is also being used as a service lift by the cleaners. The staff are very friendly and have the best memories, they always remember us and we always get a lovely and warm welcome. For this reason, we always feel like we've arrived home. Checking in takes ages, I never understand why. We never had a speedy check in with them. Room rates include breakfast but breakfast buffet has deteriorated in quality and selection over the years. Still, it's good value and better than other similarly rated hotels around the area. Be warned that all their Junior Suites are smoking rooms. You can ask the reception staff to view the room first before you accept it. The drinks prices at the bar have also gone up. Too much, in my opinion. On the positive side, the room is equipped with mini fridge and there is a supermarket nearby (Puregold) where you can buy drinks at very cheap prices. There is limited free parking available but even if this is full, the guards can always find a street parking for you. We had a Junior Suite which is equipped with a kitchenette/sitting room and a balcony that looks out to Manila bay. Good size bedroom however the toilet and bath is a bit compact. It's kept clean everyday. Beds are comfortable and there is a cable tv in the bedroom. Wifi connection is as good as you can get in the Philippines.
