Don't expect anything but the bare necessities.
Stayed at Cler Grand for 3 nights. Booked last minute for a convention. There was an international cycling event and the city's fiesta at the same time so rooms in other hotels/inns were scarce. Paid for Php 700+ a night. Quite cheap since I split the cost with an office colleague. The room offered the barest of things: a bed, a/c, tv, table, chair, cabinet, toilet, shower, towels. Basically just enough to get you by. Pros: - Walking distance to Robinsons mall - Along the main road so it was easy to locate and transportation was easy to find - Spacious room - Cable tv had decent channels. - Near to convenience stores. But that's about it. Cons: - Aircon was noisy. On the last night, it got even noisier. It was like there was boat motor in the room. - The thermostat of the a/c couldn't be adjusted. And it kept on jumping all on it's own. It can go from 17C to 28C, and somewhere in between every few minutes. - Bed was a lumpy, foam mattress. - The fixtures look like a decade has passed since it was last washed/maintained. Yellowed pillows, ratty-looking velvet curtains (didn't want to touch for fear of dust flying everywhere), chipped paints on the tables and chair - There was no shower curtain so water went everywhere when taking a bath. There was also no toilet seat. - Some of the lights didn't work. - They didn't sell any food or water so if you need any of those, you had to go to the mall or to one of the convenience stores nearby. - The room given to me was on the basement level (that was a first experience). And one end of the basement led to an open field. There was a security camera and they kept doors closed and locked at night but it makes the security a bit questionable. Overall, I wouldn't really recommend the place unless you had nowhere else to go.

JUST A GREAT BIG PHILIPPINE RIP OFF
2,250 peso for one night with a room with a foam mattress, no running water in the morning, bare walls, no wi-fi, no electric in the day time (no generator back up), faulty shower fittings and no breakfast. And that was the matrimonial suite! Why use names like this when the customer will eventually see the room? We paid this rate as there was a spurt in demand due to a new mall opening and our usual place was full. Full advantage was thus taken by this hotel as usually this place would be one of the last to fill. On the plus side: A nice enough corridor. It is also a short walk from the new shopping mall. If the Philippines is ever to get serious about tourism, then it really has to do something about hotels like this. In Thailand we can get a room like this in a provincial town for a quarter of this price.
