I <3 Club Agutaya
Choosing Club Agutaya to celebrate 30 years of friendship was the best decision my friends and I made. The place is secluded, giving us the chance to completely bond and reminisce the past. Chef Maria was the perfect host and chef, and her staff - Mark, Jojo, JP, and the rest - gave great service. They approach you with a smile, and answer our queries patiently. They have an infinity pool, and their rooms are spacious and well kept. Although there are sand flies on the beach, they provide you with insect repellant, which they concocted. Even their bathroom supplies - body wash, shampoo, and conditioner - were from local products. And so is their food, which, according to Maria, were either grown in the premises or sourced from local farmers. We couldn't even complain about their on-going construction because our rooms were upgraded to the villas as result. :)

Gorgeous Place infront of the longest beach!
Club Agutaya is a beautiful resort situated right in Palawan's Longest Beach called san vicente long beach! The rooms are well appointed, staff are very polite and nice, food is delicious too! Shower amenities are notable all are coco-based from soap, shampoo and conditioner. Room is very spacious and bed is very comfy. The infinity pool is gorgeous too! 5star for this property! Downside though is that there are plenty (as in plenty) of sand flies in the area. Bites of these insects leave very painful and itchy red patches in your skin. That is why upon checkin, staff will hand you a bug lotion (coco-based with citronella!) Also, if you have kids with you always always keep an eye to them whether in the beach (strong undertow at times) and in the pool (4-11feet deep). There are no lifeguards during our visit. Highly recommended for honeymooners!

beautiful experience
we enjoyed our two night stay in this boutique resort. the food was delicious and the long beach unforgettable especially the sunset. before this trip, i was worried of the sand fleas because i get bitten by mosquitoes and other insects easily. i was very ok the first day so i thought i'd be fine. so on second day while watching the sunset i lay on the beach.. so there goes my legs and back and arms. lesson learned. the place is very close to nature so it is understandable. i get bitten by insects when i hike or go to remote places. other than that the experience was well worth it including the land travel to this blessed place. the staff of the resort is gets 5 stars.. efficient, friendly and well mannered.

Good service from the staff at the hotel, and some pros and cons. Overall a good stay!
It is a bit difficult contacting the hotel, and there was a lack of response for the most part. However, when I was able to connect with Ms. Therese Redada, I got a more prompt reply. I was able to snag a 3 Day / 2 Nights voucher and that is how I discovered Club Agutaya. It is quite far, a 4 hour drive and on the opposite side of Palawan, and I realized squeezing in a trip to the popular El Nido or Coron sites was not an option as private vans cost a LOT. Regardless, after a long and arduous ride in a public van, my companion and I were greeted by a cozy and modern resort! The service staff greeted us and even prepared our room with balloons and a streamer for my boyfriend's belated birthday. That was great service right there! We were the only guests at the time and the staff were courteous but not too intruding. We particularly appreciated the service from sir Jojo who accompanied us for our island tour. Yes, there are also islands to be seen in San Vicente. Maybe not as spectacular as those in El Nido or Coron, but still beautiful! The package offered by the hotel was all-inclusive (boat, boatman, a VERY bountiful lunch spread, snacks, water, snorkel hear, private car transport to Port Barton, and the eco fees). The hotel is beachfront, such a gorgeous beachfront, and there is also a good-sized infinity pool - we were pleasantly surprised that the water was nice and warm. The Lily Cafe was the hotel restaurant and had good food - although the breakfast staff could improve a bit more on their service. Overall we had a lovely stay, the beach was gorgeous. Even without island tours, Long Beach was well-worth it!

Beach Life never looked this great!
The place and the beach that we don't want people to know about ;) Our stay in Club Agutaya was unplanned. We went there just for a day trip to have a peek of the 14.5km stretch of white sand beach but turned out to be a great 3 day, 2 night stay and we got it for a steal since it's low peak season already. Plus, we got the resort by ourselves! Yes, we were the only guests. We just stayed at the resort for 3 days, beach-sleep-eat-repeat. Access to the "Long Beach" made our stay more enjoyable. The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. Since the long beach is quite uninhabited, sandflies are present. The resort provided us with off lotion and citronella spray though. The food was great, don't miss the San Vicente soup. Perfect escape from everyday life!
