There's a lot of mosquitos outside and even inside the room. Pool is dirty. Restroom is bad and smells bad. Shower is not working.
- Backpacking
Room and shower need major renovation.
- Family vacation
The room, which had two double beds, was clean and had everything we need (clean bedding, aircon, electric fan, ample electric sockets). The bathroom had a shower, and they provide shampoo, soap, and toilet paper, as well as a pail and a dipper. I would recommend the installation of a bidet for the toilet bowl and mosquito repellent. Service was impressive; they arranged for our motorbike rental and transportation back to the airport. Overall, we had a convenient overnight stay.

good food, even greater staff
Just got back from a 4D3N stay at Darayonan (Nov12-15, 2017)... I'm mostly writing this review to give a shout out to the 3 wonderful ladies who took care of our meals ... Stephanie (Steff) Mortal, Bernadette (Badette) Fatalla and Melissa Alturas... thank you for your very friendly and efficient service, and for taking care of ordering and (the flight-proof) packaging of our lamayo (It's like danggit but instead of dried, it's marinated ala daing na bangus)... i should also mention the food, yes, the food... much better than one almost famous place in town with so-so food offerings and sour-faced staff... I especially loved the adobong pusit, bistek tagalog and the lamayo of course! The driver who drove us to the airport, who instead of hovering for tips like some tend to do, simply disappeared after delivering us safely... so sorry dear, di ka na namin nahabol.... para kang bulang naglaho but pls know we appreciate your help... To Nina, the front desk officer who very patiently attended to a pack of loud, almost-senior-citizens like us, thank you my dear for your very quiet efficiency.... we didn't get to enjoy the pool, but only because we were dead tired from all the island hopping.... things that can be improved... hmmmn.... well, maybe add a door chain? we had to wedge a chair under the door knob.... siguro security has never been a problem, but nothing wrong with a few extra precautions, right? overall, we had a very pleasant stay at Darayonan and will definitely consider going back to stay!

A place like home. 😊
We were here February 2016 and went back October 2017. We went back because we were really happy the first time, we chose to go back primarily because of the staff, most especially ate Steph. She handled our exclusive tours both last year and this year (we really requested for her this year). This feels so homey 🏡 The pool is big enough but needs improvement, you'll notice small cracked pool tiles. We noticed that the bathroom in our room was improved from last year which was confirmed by the staff upon asking. This is located in the middle of the town. You can walk from here to many go-to restaurants even to the public market. 😊 Breakfast, they just have a few to offer and nothing really special about it. Unlimited coffee available during breakfast time (7-10am?). Wifi is only available at the dining and poolside area. I hope they continue to improve their place. While waiting for the improvements, we have explored more place to stay at. 😊 After two nights of our stay here, after our tours, we transferred to Two Seasons to experience something new. 😊 I'd still choose Darayonan to be my companion as I go back and tour around Coron.

Lovely little resort with pool. Good location. Room seemed musty/damp.
The resort was of a good size, with a reasonably sized pool, bar, restaurant and conference room. The staff were helpful but not around a great deal, i.e. At the bar etc. The pool has an additional shallow pool and steps with an underwater seat to just relax, however the main pool itself was quite grotty. If you actually swam in it, you ended up stirring up debris from the bottom, then had to swim through that, so could do with a more regular/extensive clean. The restaurant served good food at decent prices and breakfast was included - you have to order it the night before. It has sufficient access to town - we walked up a few times but there are also tricycles around. It's also a nice distance from the ferry port, though the tricycle drivers tend to try to rip off tourists. The room itself was quite musty and damp - we noticed fungi starting to develop, so whether it's not well-maintained or hadn't been stayed in for a while, I don't know. This tended to attract insects, though this wasn't a massive issue. They provide a nice selection of toiletries: toothpaste, soap, shampoo, toilet roll. However, our room was not made up while we were there (4 night stay) so we had to ask at the front reception whenever we ran out of toiletries/needed new towels. Free wifi was available at the bar/restaurant which was good when it worked but was very intermittent.

Cheap Accommodation with Pool
First of all the location was really good. Plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. Plus easy and cheaper access to market and park by means of riding a tricycle (10 pesos per head). From airport, many vans are waiting to accompany and drive you to town proper for Php.150/head.It will take 30 minutes from airport to Coron town proper. Free and limited choice of breakfast but just enough to start a day for a tour. Room we've got was spacious, simple, clean and comfortable. We didn't mind if there's no comforter or the TV was old as long as it still serves its purpose. The whole lodge was surrounded by different kind of plants and flowers which gives the place a refreshing and cool ambiance. I just noticed that there's no one assigned in keeping the pool clean.Though we didn't have the chance to use the pool because we were mostly outside enjoying the town and tour we book just across Darayonan lodge. 1,200/head for an "Ultimate Tour" and 500 pesos/head for the "Town Tour".

Nice Location
Located just along the highway. Just a walk away from the church and souvenir shops. So many restaurants nearby which is recommended by the reception. The place is so green that makes it so fresh and relaxing. Just don't forget to bring your mosquito repellent.
