The best place to be when in Jagna!
A beautiful place by the beach. Very well maintained, clean and safe. The staff were very friendly and hospitable. The owner who is a fine, warm woman gave us a good discount for a two night stay. I would definitely go back to this place if I visit Jagna again and would recommend to my family and friends.

Worth a try!
The place is nice and so the owners. This is not your typical pension haus, you can use the kitchen with a certain rate and freely buy food and borrow their utensils. The owner is thoughtful she usually ask if how was our night during breakfast. They even cooked chocolate porridge for the team and manage to order the calamay which i was hesitant to order...but turns out it was the best calamay ive tasted ever! SOP...Rooms will be clean everyday so just dont leave your valuable things. Menu...quite expensive the serving not that much but it taste good. If your wondering if you can go swimming (as youve notice its by the beach)...Yes, definitely!

Nice people--BUT...
I've been staying at Domene Kaw on and off for the last fifteen years or so whenever I come into Jagna. It has always been better than the other lodgings in town. I stayed there last July 2016 and it was disappointing. The TV really didn't work and it's probably because it's the same TV for the last decade and a half--a 12-inch CRT. They raised the lodging fee because they added more beds into the room. Now the room has a weird refugee feel. Water heater in the shower also seems like it hasn't been replaced in years. Wifi is spotty and slow. There are other places in town with better wifi so it seems like they got the cheapest internet option to say they have wifi. Sadly, in the Philippines, the cheapest option doesn't really work. The people are super nice, the guard is always friendly when I come in at 2 am. I love the seaside view. I really wish this property would return to its former glory.

Nothing fancy, but pleasant nevertheless
I was a little bit worried about the place because I saw some of the bad reviews from before, but it turned out nothing even close to bad. Although we were very late arriving for check-in, the staff met us with kindness. The room was clean and pleasant. The motorcycles got loud in the morning, but during the night, there was no significant noise. They said wifi is available only in the lobby, but the room had decent connection, too. The view from the balcony is awesome - the unobstructed ocean right ahead of the building. They were also nice to save our breakfast. We woke up at lunch time and checked out barely before noon, but they saved our portion for us regardless.

Loved this place!
My friends and I stayed here for 2 weeks and were blown away by the cleanliness, hospitality, and friendliness of the hotel/staff. They are very welcoming and did everything they could to make it our "home away from home". There are only 4 people that work there, which makes for a very personable experience. Nita will feed you some of the best Filipino food around town. Chi-Chi, Gino, and Mrs. Lisa also take great care of you. It's definitely not haunted. If you're looking for a 5-star resort, then you probably shouldn't be staying in Jagna to begin with. After spending many days walking around the town, we always looked forward to coming back to the Domene Kaw for some much needed rest and relaxation.
