This means that you will need to make alternative arrangements for your furry companions if you plan to stay at this accommodation. This policy is common in many hotels and capsule accommodations to ensure the comfort and safety of all guests, particularly those with allergies.

Understanding this policy beforehand is key to a smooth travel experience. If you are traveling with pets, you might need to explore other accommodation options or consider pet-sitting services in Quezon City. This ensures that your pet is well cared for while you enjoy your stay at Dormitos and explore the city.

Upon arrival at Dormitos, you can proceed with check-in anytime between 14:00 and 18:00. This window is designed to accommodate most travelers arriving in the afternoon. While late check-ins might not always be possible due to operational procedures, communication is key. For those arriving earlier than 14:00, you can inquire about the possibility of early check-in or if there are facilities where you can store your luggage while you begin exploring the nearby areas.

Check-out is scheduled for before 12:00. This allows the hotel staff ample time to prepare the rooms for incoming guests. If you have a flight or a later engagement, you can ask about luggage storage options. Many travelers find that storing their bags at the hotel after check-out allows them to enjoy a few more hours of sightseeing or dining in Quezon City without the burden of carrying their luggage.

Your Travel Guide to Quezon City as a Filipino Traveler

How to Get to Quezon City from Manila and Major Philippine Cities

For travelers coming from other parts of the Philippines, flying into Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) in Manila is the most common method. Major airlines like Philippine Airlines, Cebu Pacific, and AirAsia offer frequent flights to Manila from various provincial capitals. Fares can range significantly, from PHP 1,500 to PHP 5,000 or more, depending on the origin city, airline, and booking time. From NAIA, you can take a taxi, ride-sharing service, or public transport to reach Quezon City. Planning your book flight well in advance can secure better prices.

If you are traveling from Luzon, bus travel is a practical and economical option. Cubao is a major bus terminal hub, with numerous companies like Victory Liner, Genesis Transport, and Five Star Bus servicing routes from Northern and Central Luzon. Bus fares typically range from PHP 400 to PHP 800, with travel times varying from 4 to 8 hours depending on the distance and traffic. This makes it a viable choice for those who prefer land travel and want to avoid airport procedures.

For those driving their own vehicles, Quezon City is accessible via major expressways. From the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX), you can exit at Balintawak and proceed via EDSA or other arterial roads. From the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX), you would typically take EDSA. Toll fees vary depending on the entry and exit points, but generally, the convenience of driving allows for flexibility in your itinerary and the ability to explore at your own pace.

Best Time to Visit Quezon City

Quezon City experiences a tropical climate, with two main seasons: the dry season from November to April and the wet season from May to October. The coolest months are typically December and January, with average temperatures around 27°C, making it a pleasant time for outdoor activities. The hottest months are April and May, where temperatures can soar to 35°C. For many Filipino travelers, the "ber" months (September to December) are particularly popular due to the festive atmosphere and cooler weather.

The wet season can bring heavy rainfall, especially in the afternoons, which might disrupt outdoor plans. However, it also means fewer crowds and potentially lower accommodation prices. If you prefer to avoid the heaviest rains, the dry season, particularly from November to February, offers the most favorable weather for exploring the city. Regardless of the season, always be prepared for sudden changes in weather, especially during the wet months.

Food and Dining Near Quezon City — What Filipino Travelers Must Try

Quezon City, like the rest of Metro Manila, is a culinary playground for Filipinos. You absolutely must try **Adobo**, the unofficial national dish. Whether it's chicken or pork, simmered in soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, and peppercorns, its savory and tangy profile is a comfort food staple. Look for authentic versions in local eateries or even some of the more traditional restaurants in areas like Tomas Morato or Scout areas.

Another dish that embodies Filipino flavors is **Sinigang**. This sour and savory soup, typically made with tamarind broth, features meat (pork, beef, or fish) and a variety of vegetables like kangkong, radish, and tomatoes. Its distinct sourness is incredibly refreshing, especially on a warm day. Many carinderias and restaurants offer their own take on this beloved soup.

For a taste of something sweet and celebratory, **Lechon** is a showstopper. This whole roasted pig, with its incredibly crispy skin and succulent meat, is a Filipino party essential. While a whole lechon might be too much for a solo traveler, many restaurants offer lechon kawali (fried pork belly) or lechon paksiw (lechon stewed in its own sauce) which provide a delicious taste of this iconic dish.

Don't leave without trying **Halo-Halo**, the ultimate Filipino dessert. This colorful concoction of shaved ice, milk, sweet beans, fruits, jellies, leche flan, and ube ice cream is a delightful mix of textures and flavors. It's the perfect way to cool down and satisfy your sweet tooth after a day of exploring. Many local dessert shops and restaurants serve this popular treat.

Local Culture, Safety Tips, and Essential Apps for Quezon City

Filipinos are known for their hospitality and respect for elders. When interacting with locals, using polite terms like "po" and "opo" is highly appreciated. It's also common to remove your shoes before entering someone's home. Understanding these basic customs can enhance your interactions and make your stay more pleasant. Quezon City is a melting pot, so you'll encounter diverse communities and traditions.

When it comes to safety, like any large urban area, it's wise to be aware of your surroundings, especially in crowded places. Keep your valuables secure and avoid displaying expensive items openly. Stick to well-lit and populated areas, particularly at night. For emergencies, the general emergency number in the Philippines is 911. Having the contact details of your hotel readily available is also a good practice.

To navigate and enhance your trip, several apps are highly recommended. Ride-sharing apps like Grab are essential for convenient and relatively affordable transportation around Metro Manila. Google Maps is invaluable for navigation, helping you find your way around the city and estimate travel times. For foodies, apps like Zomato or local food blogs can help you discover highly-rated dining spots. Staying connected with a local SIM card or ensuring your roaming is activated is also advisable.

Very disappointed with the capsule feature, it's not available to charge cellphones which can only be via a USB cable where charging is very, very slow, especially I'm a Rog user where the charging cable doesn't use a USB head, and the room isn't soundproof where I'm not satisfied playing games or watching movies with big sound, this capsule hotel is not worth it.

The place is new, clean and cheap. 700 pesos only here on Traveloka but if you walk in, it costs 800. I can say that this place perf for solo travelers. Good amenities, however they don't allowed to check in their guest ahead of time. Especially for a traveler like me who went from Bicol. I arrived at 10am.. And receptionist let me enter 15mins before the 2pm. I understand somehow but I also leave next morning at 9am. So i haven't consume it all until 12noon.. They should also consider to have flexi time as long as it will not exceeded to 22-24hrs stay. If so, then shoukd ask for additional charge. That's all.

Superb experience. Hi-tech and extraordinary. Who would have thought in the middle of cubao there's a place like this. Perfect for solo travelers or even when your too tired to go home because of the long lines of puv. One tricycle away from aurora blvd. Or you can walk for about 15mins. From gateway. Place is also super clean and quiet. The only downside is their bathroom kit, good only for 1 use. Anyway there is 7 eleven downstairs.

That's all.

The capsules are clean and well-designed, similar to that of Japanese. The staff are friendly and accommodating, everything was well-explained. Toilets and bathrooms and even lockers were safe or secured. I had a wonderful time!

Pros: Modern. Cozy. Good location. Sparkling clean bathroom. Cons: Maybe they're saving Electric bill bec they turn off AC in the morning. I woke up sweating inside the pod with 28°C temp. Had to open the pod's door to get good vent.

I had an amazing experience with a clean and peaceful place like this.. there's a cheap silog outside if you are in a budget and it is near to the mall which is very convenient as well if you want to hang out with friends but if you don't feel like going anywhere there is a 7eleven downstairs open 24hrs..people are very friendly and helpful..i highly recommend you to experience the wonderful capsule bed ;)

I had a great stay for 2 nights because the place is a bit new so as expected the place is so clean and very quiet to the point that I thought I was the only one staying there 😂😂. The comfort room is clean but the prob is there is no slippers and bidet. But overall, the place is amazing and the place is accessible to everything.

The rooms are exactly like the pictures; the staff are so nice and accomodating; sheets are clean; the restroom and shower( although no hot water) are very clean;Wifi is fast. It’s perfect for those who really want to be alone and just get some peaceful sleep. Definitely would recommend.
