Whether you want to take a leisurely swim, lounge by the water with a good book, or let the kids splash around, the pool area offers a pleasant space to relax and enjoy your vacation. It adds a layer of security and convenience to your visit.

Room Comforts and Additional Services

While specific room amenities are not detailed, the resort is designated as a smoke-free area, promoting a healthier environment for all guests. This policy is beneficial for families and individuals sensitive to smoke, ensuring a more pleasant stay. You can expect common areas to be free from cigarette odors.

For your peace of mind, safety deposit boxes are typically available, allowing you to securely store valuable items during your stay. This service is standard in many resorts and provides an extra layer of security for your important belongings, letting you explore with greater confidence.

The presence of a coffee shop offers a casual spot to grab a beverage and a light snack. It’s a perfect place to start your morning with a cup of coffee or to relax in the afternoon. For those looking to book their accommodation, you can easily book hotel rooms through Traveloka, ensuring a smooth reservation process.

Pet Policy at Eden Nature Park and Resort

For travelers who wish to bring their beloved animal companions, it's important to note that Eden Nature Park and Resort has a strict "Pets Not Allowed" policy. This means that you will need to make alternative arrangements for your pets if you plan to stay at this resort.

This policy is common in many resorts and hotels, often implemented to ensure the comfort and safety of all guests, particularly those with allergies or a fear of animals. While it might be a consideration for some, it helps maintain a specific atmosphere within the resort premises.

Check-in and Check-out Information

Upon arrival at Eden Nature Park and Resort, you can proceed with check-in starting from 14:00. This standard afternoon check-in time allows the resort staff ample opportunity to prepare the rooms thoroughly after previous guests have departed. It’s advisable to have your booking confirmation and a valid ID ready to expedite the process.

If you happen to arrive earlier than the designated check-in time, you can inquire at the front desk if an early check-in is possible. While not guaranteed, sometimes rooms may be available, especially during less busy periods. If not, you can usually leave your luggage with the bell desk and begin exploring the resort or nearby areas.

When it's time to conclude your stay, check-out is scheduled before 12:00. This allows the housekeeping team to prepare the rooms for incoming guests. If you require a later check-out, it’s best to arrange this with the front desk in advance, as late check-out fees may apply depending on room availability and resort policy.

Your Travel Guide to Davao City as a Filipino Traveler

How to Get to Davao City from Manila and Major Philippine Cities

The most convenient way to reach Davao City from Manila and other major Philippine cities is by air. Numerous airlines operate daily flights to Davao International Airport (DVO). Flight durations typically range from 1 hour and 45 minutes to 2 hours from Manila. Fares can vary significantly based on the season and how far in advance you book flight tickets, but budget-friendly options can often be found for around PHP 3,000 to PHP 6,000 for a round trip if booked strategically.

For those who prefer land travel or are coming from closer Visayas cities, ferry services are also an option, though significantly longer. Bus travel is available for those within Mindanao. From Manila, a bus journey would be extremely long, spanning over 24 hours, and is generally not recommended unless you are on a very tight budget and have ample time.

Once you arrive at Davao International Airport, you can take a taxi or a ride-sharing service to your accommodation. The airport is well-connected, and taxis are readily available. For those arriving by bus at the city's integrated bus terminals, similar taxi and public transport options will be available to reach your hotel.

Best Time to Visit Davao City

Davao City enjoys a tropical climate, meaning it's generally warm and humid throughout the year. There isn't a distinct cold season, but rather a wet and dry period. The dry season typically runs from March to May, offering sunny days ideal for outdoor activities and exploring the city's attractions. This period can be considered peak season, with potentially higher hotel rates and more crowds.

The wet season usually spans from June to February, characterized by intermittent rainfall. However, the rain in Davao is often in the form of short, heavy downpours rather than all-day drizzles, so it doesn't necessarily disrupt travel plans significantly. Traveling during the shoulder months of the wet season, like September or October, can offer a good balance of pleasant weather and fewer tourists, potentially leading to better deals on accommodation and flights.

For Filipino travelers looking to experience local festivals, the Kadayawan Festival, celebrated every third week of August, is a major highlight. If your visit coincides with this, expect a city alive with cultural presentations, parades, and festivities. However, be prepared for larger crowds and higher prices during this popular event.

Food and Dining Near Davao City — What Filipino Travelers Must Try

Davao City is a culinary delight, offering a range of flavors that reflect its rich cultural influences. A must-try is the Durian, the "King of Fruits," known for its pungent aroma and creamy, custard-like texture. While polarizing, experiencing durian is a characteristic Davao activity. You can find fresh durian at local markets and fruit stands, especially during its peak season from August to October.

Another local specialty is the Kinilaw na Malasugi, a Davao-style ceviche made with fresh swordfish or other local fish, marinated in vinegar, calamansi juice, ginger, onions, and chili. It’s a refreshing appetizer that showcases the freshness of the seafood available in the region. Many restaurants in Davao offer their own take on this popular dish.

For those who enjoy grilled dishes, the local barbecue scene is strong. Look for stalls selling grilled pork belly (liempo) or chicken, often marinated in a sweet and savory sauce. Pair it with a side of rice and a dipping sauce for a satisfying meal. Many local eateries and even some higher-end restaurants serve excellent versions of these Filipino favorites.

Don't leave Davao without trying the local coffee. The region is known for its high-quality coffee beans, particularly Arabica and Robusta varieties. Enjoying a freshly brewed cup at a local café is a great way to start your day or take a break. Many establishments pride themselves on serving locally sourced coffee, offering a true taste of Mindanao.

Local Culture, Safety Tips, and Essential Apps for Davao City

Davao City is known for its generally peaceful environment and friendly locals. The culture is a blend of indigenous traditions and modern influences. When interacting with locals, politeness and respect are always appreciated. It’s common to hear Tagalog and Bisaya spoken, along with local dialects.

For safety, Davao City is considered one of the safest major cities in the Philippines. However, it's always wise to exercise standard precautions: be aware of your surroundings, avoid displaying expensive items openly, and keep your belongings secure, especially in crowded areas. In case of emergencies, local police hotlines are readily available.

Essential apps for your trip include ride-hailing apps like Grab for convenient transportation, and navigation apps like Google Maps to help you find your way around. For communication, ensure you have a reliable local SIM card. Having a mobile banking app or e-wallet like GCash or Maya can also be very useful for transactions.

There was no air-conditioning, but who needs it given the cool mountain weather. The trip was long and they helped arrange a trip back to the downtown area. The staff were very helpful and accommodating, all smiles and cheery voices. Though we did experience a reckless waiter at the dinner buffet who didn't care to apologize when my one-year old son lost his balance, we didn't let it ruin our stay. The food was fresh and tasteful as the resort grows most of their ingredients.

Locals are fond and proud of the Eden resort and they will advise you how to reach the area, I took a local bus and a tricycle. After checking in I wanted to take care of some issues for onward travel and they let my wrestle with their WIFI, after over an hour I got frustrated and receptionists finally told me that they did not have an Internet connection for a long time. The vista cottages look neat, in cottage 9 the gaze was damaged and I smashed over 200 musquitos before I went to sleep. I sprayed insecticide and slept remarkably well, also the telephone needed to be fixed so I stayed in to receive the electrician he fixes all the lines in a shaky way. That intercom is kinda important though since it is one of those resorts that use pick up vans to bring guests over the terrain. Cottage 9 is next to a parking lot and so the exhaust fumes entered my room. Cottage 3 overlooks a stream and gorge and was almost mosquito free. There were loud animal noises all through the night though, the balcony has a wonderful view and is good for writing. Nights in cottage 3 were sweaty. All switches were visibly dirty. On the weekend the park was overrun by locals (so loud voices 3 at night and 6 in the morning) but in weekdays it is quiet. The area is a replanted forest and the air is less hot but still humid.Nature is in fact a park with boundaries, the “hiking trail” needs maintenance as bridges are broken. It's a bit of a ride to go outside the park at least 12 KM to Toril.

ダバオ市内の暑さにウンザリしたら 訪れると良いです。 エアコン要らない。寒いくらいです スカイスイング等、スリル満点のアトラクションもあり、老若男女、楽しめると思います。
