Dirty comfort room, too small, overflow of water on the floor no drainage...and creepy.
Poor wifi. TV and toilet flush need to be fixed. AC works well. bathroom is clean enough but there are ants. standard room is spacious enough for 2.location is great. easy to find and close to supermarkets, pharmacies, restaurants, etc. courteous and helpful staff.
The place needs a renovation. Especially the bathroom.

A Very Old Hotel, yet I Had a Good Night Sleep
We stayed here in this hotel here for a business trip, and I can say that Elison is way cheaper than the nearby hotels in Balanga. The place is really old, as observed in the ambiance of the reception area and the rooms, as well as with the furniture placed inside the room. The place is just a walking distance from the plaza and nearby fast food chains, so finding a place to eat is not that hard. I must say that my stay here is just fine as I had a good night sleep here despite the room ambiance. The aircon works well. The bathroom comes with free toiletries and clean towels, and flush works fine too. Our stay comes with free breakfast (they offer silog meals). They have a wide parking lot behind the hotel, and a swimming pool near to it, which we did not try that time.

They should have named it Elison Inn
Room: It is clean as well as the bathroom but the toilet flush was not working properly. Linens are clean. AC is cold. My advice: Ask for a room located in the second floor so you will not be disturbed by the vehicles coming in and out of the hotel. Location: The hotel is located beside a stinky river. Good thing the room assigned to us was not on that side. But there is a lot of fast-food chains, convenience store and pharmacy near the hotel. It is also near the church, municipal hall, plaza and mall. Amenities: There is a small swimming pool which is a bit dirty because of the falling mango leaves and flowers. There is a free breakfast but for one person only. They bring it to your room so before you sleep, inform them what food and what time you are going to wake up. For your companion, there is a convenience store where you can buy cup noodles, coffee, bread, and water since bringing of food inside the rooms is allowed. I just had a problem with the receptionist when we checked out. The lady on duty was not able to find my voucher so she asked me to stay and texted her manager regarding our voucher. I just advised her that they should have a drawer/folder to avoid losing important documents.

Location Wise Hotel
Liked: very good location - near the plaza and church. It was old but room is tidy. Courteous and helpful staffs. Disliked: since the hotel is old, some of the things are broken like toilet flush, bathroom faucet. And there was no exhaust in the toilet. T&B is not clean. I don't recommend for guests that will stay long. Just good for a sleepover.

Not Worth It.
I feel bad for writing a poor review of this place because the owner and workers are so nice and helpful. But why choose this sad outdated place where everything is old, paint is chipping off the woodwork, the fixtures in the shower don't work and the key to the door has to be jiggled for 5 minutes before opening? I chose the Elison because of the hot water in the shower but for the life of me, I couldn't turn on either the hot or cold water much less the shower itself. The handles just kept rolling around in my hand. I ended up using the faucet at the bottom and just splashed water on myself. I did appreciate the pack of toiletries, though I had brought my own, and they provided a nice bath towel. The flatscreen TV was nice with lots of cable channels to choose from. And the room was very spacious with a small table and 2 chairs to eat at and even a couch with a coffee table. But the bedspread had stains on it and the cabinet, while nice to hang clothes in, was old and needed a fresh coat of paint. My roommate and I went to bed at 9 pm as we had an early monrning event to attend but the sounds of people talking in the driveway between the two buildings kept us up until they went inside their rooms. The pool looked clean though small. We missed the complimentary breakfast due to our having to leave so early so I can't give a review of that. But, the service was very good, especially the worker who worked hard and long to open our door for us. For P500 more I would stay at the Plaza instead.

Just about average
Checked in with my daughters (ages 11 and 1.5 year olds) together with a friend and her daughter (all in all we are counted as 4 adults and 1 baby) for the Regional Schools Press Conference last Nov 17-18, 2016. Here's my verdict: Pros: - 2 breakfast was included - Strategic location. Walking distance from the City Plaza and the mall - The staff are nice esp. the one in the front desk - No extra charges for the additional towels (we asked for 2) - Ample parking space - Decent, clean sheets and pillows - Aircon works really well - Decent bathroom - With morning kit consisting of toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, and shampoo. With tissue - With flat screen TV and cable Cons: - Mosquitos in our room. We asked them to spray insect repellant while we went for a stroll - No hot water in the shower and sink - Weak wifi signal (if you're in the room) - Bed size is double, as opposed to what the staff told me (she said it's queen) Overall, it is just about average. You get what you pay for. Not really bad for Php2000 for our overnight stay.
