Loved my time at this hotel. Ana made it oh-so-special by helping organize transport and hotels. She’s so great! The hotel is brand new with a great restaurant/bar/patio area that has a little private beach and great view of the ocean. The room was big but fairly basic. Had a/c and hot water though. And bed was comfortable. Location is also pretty good, with the whole town walking distance from your door. High recommend!

Several airlines operate flights from Manila (MNL) to Puerto Princesa, with fares typically ranging from approximately PHP 3,000 to PHP 7,000 for a round trip, depending on the season and how far in advance you book flight tickets. Flight duration to Puerto Princesa is about 1 hour and 15 minutes. From Puerto Princesa, you can then take a van or bus to San Vicente town proper.

These services usually depart from the San Jose Terminal in Puerto Princesa and take approximately 3 to 4 hours, with fares ranging from PHP 400 to PHP 600. If flying directly to San Vicente Airport, you will still need to arrange transport to Port Barton, which is about an hour's drive from the airport.

For travelers coming from Cebu (CEB) or Davao (DVO), the primary option is also to fly into either San Vicente Airport (SWL) or Puerto Princesa International Airport (PPS). Direct flights from Cebu and Davao to San Vicente are rare, so you will likely transit through Manila. Alternatively, you can find flights from Cebu or Davao to Puerto Princesa. The cost and duration will vary based on the airline and layovers.

Once in Puerto Princesa, follow the same van or bus route to San Vicente town as described for travelers from Manila. Planning your flights well in advance is crucial to securing the best prices and ensuring a smooth travel experience to this Palawan destination.

If you prefer a more adventurous road trip, driving from Manila to San Vicente is possible, though it's a very long journey. This would involve taking ferries to Palawan or driving through various parts of Luzon and then taking a ferry. A more practical approach for those who prefer driving is to fly into Puerto Princesa and then rent a car or van for the drive to San Vicente.

The drive from Puerto Princesa to San Vicente town is approximately 100-120 kilometers and takes around 3 to 4 hours. Roads have improved significantly, but some sections can still be challenging. Rental costs for a car can range from PHP 1,500 to PHP 3,000 per day, plus fuel. This option offers the most flexibility for exploring San Vicente and its surrounding areas at your own pace.

Best Time to Visit San Vicente

San Vicente, Palawan, experiences a tropical climate, with two main seasons: the dry season and the wet season. The dry season generally runs from November to May, and this is considered the peak tourist season. During these months, you can expect sunny skies, lower humidity, and calmer seas, making it ideal for beach activities, island hopping, and exploring the natural landscapes. The weather is consistently pleasant, with average temperatures ranging from 25°C to 32°C.

This period is perfect for travelers who want to maximize their outdoor adventures and enjoy the pristine beaches without the interruption of heavy rainfall.

The wet season typically occurs from June to October. While this period sees more rainfall, it doesn't necessarily mean continuous downpours. Often, the rain comes in short, intense bursts, usually in the afternoon, followed by sunshine. The advantage of visiting during the wet season is that there are fewer crowds, and accommodation prices might be more affordable. The lush greenery of the landscape is also at its most vibrant during this time.

For travelers who don't mind occasional rain and are looking for a more tranquil experience and potentially better deals, the wet season can be a rewarding time to visit San Vicente.

For most Filipino travelers seeking a fitting choice for Palawan beach experience, the period from November to April offers the most reliable weather. This is when the seas are generally calmest, making island hopping tours to places like German Island and Exotic Island more enjoyable and accessible. The sunny days are perfect for exploring the famous Long Beach and other attractions.

While this is the peak season, meaning more visitors and potentially higher prices, the favorable weather conditions make it a worthwhile trade-off for many. Booking accommodations and flights in advance is highly recommended during these months to ensure availability and better rates.

Lovely spot in Sabang! Right on the beach. Affordable. Away from hustle and bustle of underground river tour yet close to all needed.

This is a little gem in Port Barton away from the noise, fabulous beach. It does have parking with a few steps down to take. Really nice rooms and very friendly staff.

Ok hotel right on the beach. Friendly staff prepared very nice breakfast to the order. Facility shows age, needs some renovation investment. The biggest drawback is the access - cars can get only to the concrete walking bridge about 100m from the hotel entrance. When you walk to town you have to cross the bridge and walk another 200 m on a dirt road that was covered by numerous puddles after the occasional rains during my stay.

Rooms were good but not worth the price I paid $111 for a night.. location was good though. Water pressure was crappy in our washroom. Also beware no wifi in the rooms or at least in the room I stayed in, works in the lobby.

Had to cross what seemed like a dried-up river or something to go to the central part of the beach. Overall, I'd still recommend the property. It's quiet, clean, and the staff are super friendly.

Nothing good about this place. Room and shower were pathetic. Breakfast which was included was bad (imagine they didnt have bread and had to bring eggs from outside the hotel to make omelets). Astray dogs were annoying. I will never go back and definitely i dont recommend it to anyboday. I blame hotel.com for having it on their website.

Expensive for a small room, with a loud old fashioned A/C unit. Room was clean and bed’s comfortable. Bathroom was clean, but basic. No safe and WiFi was very slow, but that was expected. Wouldn’t stay again.

Great property for Port Barton which was my favourite town in all of Palawan. Ana was amazing and very helpful and the hotel exceeded our expectations. The island in total does not have top of the line resorts and this one was in very good shape. A little out of town which i liked but still very close to everything ! We really enjoyed our stay and will return !

Having travelled across Palawan we have enjoyed many beautiful places to stay during our trip however Ferellee stands out as a truly memorable stay. Having flown from Manila it is often easy to miss the great nature of the Filipino people. Port Barton itself remains a mostly unknown tourist trap like El Nido or Puerto Princessa and offers a great experience. Having a stay at Ferellee though was the jewel on the filipino crown. We stayed for 5 days and had the best experience due to the most accommodating hosts of our trip. Highly recommended!

The staff was really helpful and were available 24/7. The rooms were extremely small, the beds were stone hard and the pillows were just not doing it for any of us. There were dead bugs in corners and even after we had asked to get it cleaned, they were still there. The adapter port in the hotels were not working so we had a really hard time charging our electronics. Overall, for the price I don’t think I would recommend this place. It’s giving more hostel vibes than it should.
