Had a wonderful stay. Till next time
The restaurant for leaves a lot to be desired. The room, bad for the price. The service personnel very good as it is in most hotels of the same category, or higher.

Good location, value for money & friendly staff!!!
I've been in this hotel several times, convenient location, lots of choices of restaurants and walking distance at Century Mall. Old hotel but I had a comfortable stay in this hotel. Staff are nice and friendly.

My 3-day stay turned out to be a rather satisfactory stay; good location and good value
After initial apprehension(s), because my first room was facing a busy intersection and soundproofing, though decent, was insufficient (given the very old noisy jeepneys and motorcycles) and also because internet did not work on the first day of arrival, but then the remaining two days were more than satisfactory after I moved to a super quiet room (facing the back side) and internet was restored. Many reviewers mentioned the old furniture but I found that somewhat rather positive as it give the room an antique character (I prefer that sort of old furniture to Ikea-like new looking furniture). Internet (after being fixed) turned out to be adequate but Cable TV channels are somewhat limited (for Philippines). Included breakfast is your typical uninspiring filipino style frugal fare, edible but not at all appetizing, however coffee is brewed (not instant-coffee). All in all, given the location, given what rooms cost (usually below $40/night) this is a decent average satisfactory choice for Makati.

Old hotel that needs pampering
We were in Makati City for an official business trip and circumstances made us decide to stay there for the night. The better (and steeper in terms of price tags) hotels along Makati Avenue were all fully-booked so we ended up here. Knowing that their rooms are quite below-par, we took their best room -- that coincidentally happened to be the only room left -- to make sure we get a really nice sleep. Lo and behold, their best room is a small, crowded, tired-looking room that really needs tremendous amount of refurbishment. Old cranky airconditioning unit, bad TV reception, dim lights, and a SMALL space. I guess the area was somewhere around 25 sqm. Bathroom and the amenities weren't enticing either. Our food that we placed on top of the mini-fridge even got overrun by ants in a matter of hours! Free Filipino-breakfast was good though so at least we got something to cheer up our morning. We even suspect that that wasn't really their "best" room -- they only charged us the best price but gave a lower-notched room type. I don't know, we were so tired that we no longer bothered asking about this. We checked in past midnight and no discount or special rate whatsoever. So when you thought of getting a room here, sacrifice few hundreds of pesos more and go to the good hotels lined up along Makati Avenue. You won't regret it.

Good Location, Friendly Staff & Value for Money
Great location...just off Makati Ave, without the hotels on Makati Ave's price tag. The night-life and bars in P Burgos area is only a short hop skip and a jump away. Century Mall is across the road and other larger malls e.g. Greenbelt, Powerplant and Glorietta Malls about a 15 minute walk. Traffic along Makati Ave can be hectic most of the time, so walking around is an easier option for me. Pros: As I mentioned above...everything is within walking distance to bars, restaurants and malls. Staff are very friendly and by the end of my stay the knew me. Room was good, clean affordable. Cons: I was staying in room 309. The toilet in that room had a constant issue with blocking and not flushing correctly. They would use a plunger to fix it, 3 flushes later the issue would return. The TV is quite small and could do with an upgrade, to allow Video media playback on the USB port, not just only photos. Breakfast isn't the best, but its ok. Overall I was happy with my stay at the Fersal Hotel and next time I am in Makati I would stay here again.
