Just fine.
Why just fine? They have big rooms for 4 persons. and small rooms for the standard. The standard room doesn't have a cable tv. only local tv and NO ref. The other room which can occupy 4 persons does have cable tv and ref. But for those who are into "kapamilya network" don't expect you can watch clearly your favorite kapamilya shows. Malabo, magulo ang channel 2 Nila. Better to bring your Tvplus and watch from there. They don't have channel 7 GMA Network as well. In short incomplete channels. Their bed is fine. It's sort of foam and not mattress with very thin blanket and not comforter so if you're malamigin bring your own comforter. Bathroom towels cost 50 pesos, they don't have bathroom towels in the room. You can ask their housekeeping if you want to have their towels. Btw don't leave any valuables in your room everytime you leave coz once you're out they have their duplicate keys to get in your room and turn off the a/c in your room. Pool is ok. Depth is 5ft flat. Not that cold tho. Breakfast is hmmm. Pwede na. A cup of rice, egg and small hotdog and coffee. They also have 2 small "very sweet" longganisa. Their rooms is just behind the owners house.

Worth it!
I booked our stay I think 5 days before Feb 14, in time for a romantic way to spend the Valentines Day. But for some circumstances, we did not make it on the 14th but Filitico is very accommodating to allow us to reschedule our stay on Feb 27-28. Glad we made it. "Good you made it!", were the exact words of I think the owner. We're supposed to check in at 2PM but we decided to do some checking of few of Tagaytay's pride. We checked in at around 4PM, too early, but my hubby was kinda tired because of a 12 hour land trip from Samar. The place is very easy to locate coz it's just in front of Rowena's pasalubong center. At first we were not sure if we are in the right place coz the facade seems to be a residential place. But Mr. Owner gestured us to go inside after confirming our names. I was smiling when we were already inside. My expectations were met. It doesn't feel like a hotel, it actually feels like home. The place is so peaceful. I was teasing my hubby to experience the pool but he refused coz it's kinda cold outside. I'm so happy we have a tv set inside to spend the rest of the afternoon while it's raining outside. And the bathroom, it was awesome and clean. The heater was not working but it's no big deal. I had a small cut in my right thumb when I tried to open the faucet because the faucet grip is broken. But it was fine I thinks it was just my clumsiness. But I hope they'll replace it. Anyways, they've got me already with the free bathsoaps and shampoos and a fresh tissue roll. No free towels, I understood why. Thanks though they advised us to bring our own. I was impressed they bothered to put some little pieces of art and a simple vanity. It adds up to the homy feeling. The aircon is remarkable! I even wore a pair of socks to enjoy the cuddly temperature. The ambiance at night was so breath taking. Perfect for a date. Definitely I'll recommend this hotel to my friends

Thrifty Trip
Visited Tagaytay again to hibernate and relax while trying out a cheapest place to stay. Here we go, found a place to stay -- Filitico Hotel. Searched their website, tried the number posted @2am in the morning since I was in duty.. and yes it's ringing. So tried to text them @6am in the morning asking if they have available room on our chosen dates. And YES they replied. I asked if they allow walk-ins since both of us can't be able to do some reservation thru paying in banks and etc. and it's a YES again, and asked me our expected time of arrival. Okay! We arrived at Olivarez Tagaytay at around 2pm, Sunday. We decided to have our lunch first before going to the hotel since we are not so sure if there are restaurants near the place. After that, we texted the hotel that we are already in Olivarez. They told me that we need to ride a tricycle and asked them to bring us in Brgy. Francisco, just in front of Rowena's. Fare is P50php/2pax. I also do not know the exact place of the hotel, just opened google navigation map and voila according to it, it will passed by the Tagaytay Market (which I was familiar with, since it served as a terminal of jeeps and tricycle around the area). And I think the tricycle driver then, is not also familiar with the place. I just pretended to know it, and tell him to go straight and drop us in Rowena's. Good thing, I saw the the name of the hotel flashed in the street in front of Rowenas. Okay!! So what I saw is a yellow painted residential house with a wide parking area in front. While crossing the road, my boyfriend told me if I am sure of the place, since it doesnt look like a hotel really. And I am actually wondering, I told him that I will ask first if we are on the right place. So we are infront of the gate when 2 women arrived and entered the gate. I asked them if this is the Filitico Hotel. And they said YES and they asked us to come inside while asking us if we had a reservation etc. I told her that I am the one texting if we can do walk-ins instead and that we will check-in. I think its the owner who told them that we are booked on Room 8, gave them the key and brought us to our room, while giving us a short tour of the place. I asked them where I should settle our payment. She said, I can just hand the payment to her. I am waiting for a receipt but unfortunately no receipt was handed to me. Anyways.. It was not a big deal to me as long as the transaction is good and no problem will arise. Filitico Hotel -- it is actually at the back of the residential house of the owner. For me, I cannot call it a hotel but rather a apartment typed rooms with a cute pool in the middle. We are booked in a standard room, Room 8 particularly. With a queen sized bed, 2 pillows and a thin blanket. Equipped with a cute flat screened TV (local channels only) attached to a wall, with a very strong AC (looking old but do not underestimate its power), with a vanity mirror also attached on the wall. The room also has its own CR-- shower area with hot and cold showers divided with a shower curtain, toilet with flush provided with toilet tissue and wash area. 2 free sets of toilet supplies (bath soap and shampoo w/ conditioner) are also available. Towels are not provided, unless you'll tell the staffs that you needed one, and you'll be charge of P50 for using I think. So better to bring your own towels to be sure of the cleanliness and for your hygiene. All priced for 1500php. Checked in time: 2pm, Check out time: 12nn. The package includes free use of the swimming pool, free use of parking space, free breakfast for two ( hotdog and egg with rice and brewed coffee), no corkage fees.. you may bring your own foods and drinks inside the room. You can also asked for bottled water and coffee priced at P15 each to be delivered in your room. PROS: *The owner and the staffs are friendly and very accomodating. The owner even offered us a free ride if we are also going to Olivarez during the time we went outside. He even oriented us the restaurants and shops nearby. *Comfortable and simple room just like homes. *Cheap and affordable rates. *Strong water supply. *Room view: Pineapple plantation, streetlights of I think Sta.Rosa? *They offer room massage. (accdg to what posted at the back of our room) * Quiet place to stay. *Doormats are provided. *Enviroment-friendly place. I love the plants and flowers plantes around the area. CONS: *Thin blankets!! Not compatible with the strong AC of the room. We ended up just turning off the AC. How I wish they have comforters instead. *No table inside. It's hard to eat inside the room. *Small TV, no cable. *No wifi. *Stairs are in tiles and is slippery when wet. *Tricycles are the mode of transportation. *Far from Skyranch, Magallanes Square and Ayala Serin if you are going to commute. Overall we had a good experience!! :)

Affordable but Clean..:)
What I like best about Filitico is their good location. They are just in front of Rowena's, which is a pasalubong shop. Rooms here are clean, not bad for a very affordable price. Maybe next time if they have plenty of visitors, they should hire 24/7 guard so that when you go back to your hotel at the wee hours, you dont need to wake up the owner of the hotel. Overall, I will definitely come back here whenever I visit Tagaytay.

Awesome
They have the nicest owner. 😊 The hotel is for relaxation. It has a lap pool and welcoming owner and staff. Cute and quiet rooms. Note: if you're using the public transportation, tricycle from olivarez going to Filitico is just 20php per pax, because the tricycle drivers tend to collect 120php from the tourist
