Too far from Metro Manila city proper. Not near to many establishment so far to malls. And traffic is crazy! But they have good accommodation.

A Filipino Home Away From Home!!!!
Geordie's Hostel & Cafe - was the best first stop in the Philippines that we could have asked for. Not only is it extremely easy to access from the airport (15 minutes by skyway - taking a Grab), but it's nestled in a safe and lovely local village. Benie is extremely easy to communicate with - she responds to emails quickly and gave us all of the necessary information to arrive at her property safely and quickly :) Our flight arrived into Manilla quite late - leading us to arrive to the property at 1am - and Benie was flexible on our check-in time and stayed up to greet us and check us in. The food that Tita Benie makes is the absolute BEST homemade food - everything from the insanely delicious Filipino delights to British classics (Fish & Chips and the Burger are soooo tasty). I can't believe how low priced the food is - considering the quality and the value!!! Benie was aware that I was interested in learning more about Filipino cuisine and culture and shared sooooo much incredible knowledge with me. She even invited me into the kitchen to watch her and Ken cook the Filipino food that was being prepared for the day. It is by far the highlight of my time in the Philippines. The homestay itself is kept immaculately clean and really makes you feel comfortable and relaxed. The rooms are spacious and the bed was super comfortable. We could easily have stayed here for the entire month that we are in the Philippines!!! Benie was truly one of the kindest and most considerate hosts we have ever had. You really felt at home here in this family run environment. She is heavily involved with the community around her home - providing food, supplies and work for the locals. She went out of her way to make us feel comfortable, helped us plan our itinerary in the Philippines, and put us in touch with friends of hers on other islands. It's honestly such a wonderful feeling to know that we've made such a caring friend here in the Philippines. I cannot recommend this place more - it's great for short and long stays. It is just such outstanding quality for the very low prices that they charge!!

Pleasant & incredibly inexpensive
Geordie's Hostel and Cafe is a very nice place. It's in Manila. 30 - 45 minutes away from the Manila airport. I recently left Geordie's on a Sunday morning & it barely took 30 minutes to get to the airport. Benie had called a grab taxi for me. Benie and her husband Jeff are the owners. Geordie's Hostel and Cafe is a wonderful place. Such a cute , attractive building and grounds. Benie does a lot of gardening there. There are many plants. It is a comfortable abode. I really enjoyed the couple times l have stayed there. A very pleasant , relaxing , atmosphere. So nice to sit in or out drinking morning coffee ( fresh brewed ) , or later in the day English tea. Comphy chairs , free newspapers , the plants , a great start to any day. However , l would have to say Benie is mostly renowned for her cooking. The most absolutely delicious food imaginable. Don't come to Geordie's if you're on a diet , lol!! Jeff , Benie's husband does the heavy lifting around there. Her son Ken , an accomplished chef in his own right , helps Benie with the cooking. There are also half a dozen local Philipinoes working there. The young guy , John , helped me with my phone & internet stuff. A very caring person. What attracted me in the first place was the price. $ 20 CAD / night. I took the cheapest room they had , lol. Includes a 3 course hot & most delicious breakfast. Geordie's Hostel is the best , all factors considered , place l have ever stayed in during my travels.

Warm and Freindly
conveniantly placed hostel close to Alabang and Makati. Geordies has the Warmth of a English family business. British hospitality in Manila. Advice was given to me by the owner, a "Geordie filipino" And you wont break the bank.
