A beautiful relaxing resort. The landscape of the grounds are so beautiful and well maintained. There is a lap pool which you can walk out to from some rooms. There's also a larger pool with pool bar near. Gorgeous! Rooms are very comfortable. The staff is beyond exceptional! Breakfast daily was very good. My second time here and I'll never stay anywhere else at Alona. The road Into the resort is bumpy and that's an understatement! But trikes, bikes, and cars will come to get you. Not the resorts fault the road is in bad condition. Surprised best western nearby doesn't fix it. The owner Barry is a great guy. 22 years of love into this place. It's not as close to beach as others but well worth it to live in paradise and then take rides to your destination! Highly recommend!!!

Clean, comfortable room. Nice amenities and breakfast on site. Centrally located and a quick walk to everything on Alona Beach, but on a back road, so it was quiet.

Best Time to Visit Panglao, Panglao Island

Panglao, Panglao Island experiences a tropical climate, which means it's generally warm and humid throughout the year. The resort was really nice. Surrounded with beautiful trees. It’s so green. Nice place for relaxation. The staff were great. The place alone is five stars. My only complaint was there was no access to the beach. You have to walk a quarter of a mile with some rocky road to get there

Lovely place and good location , gardens and pool are lovey , we had a door that didn’t lock so they moved us straight away , good choice at breakfast , only thing would be good if hot food cooked to order as always cold , and maybe granola or cereal , but would definitely stay again ?

The room is quite basic, and the bed makes noise when you sit or lie down. There is also noise coming from outside. Overall, the facilities and fixtures are very basic. On the positive side, the hotel is away from the hustle and bustle and is nicely tucked away. The beach can be accessed through the neighbouring hotel. The buffet breakfast is also quite basic.

Pictures were deceitful for us as when we got there it was very run down. The mattress was the worst one I slept on in 3 weeks of travelling. The room was old and the appliances too. Location was close to all main restaurants but the road to get there was terrible and we couldn’t wheel our suitcases on it. Huge spiders and webs on the roof leading up to our rooms also. The receptionists were friendly and helpful but unfortunately I wouldn’t recommend.

The property itself was great! Loved the spacious room, cleanliness, friendly staff and pools. It's just an inconvenience that it's not beach front and the road heading to the main street is so rocky, rough and full of puddles. It's easy to trip and sprain your ankle while walking. The resort itself is lovely though!

Clean, comfortable room. Nice amenities and breakfast on site. Centrally located and a quick walk to everything on Alona Beach, but on a back road, so it was quiet.

The Golden Palm was a quiet oasis in the middle of the hustle and bustle around Alona Beach. It’s too bad there is no direct access to the beach and we have to walk around for about 10-15 minutes in the heat, but otherwise the pools were great and the garden is well maintained.

Property was lovely, the staff was great and we had a wonderful time there! It is tucked away from the main road so it is very peaceful! Your deluxe room was just outside the smaller pool. Just like 3 steps and you are in the water. Very kid friendly! Met the owners very nice and welcoming. Highly appreciated and recommend this resort for your stay in Panglao!!!!

Golden Palm was a nice, well kept resort. Nice gardens and the pools were wonderful. The rooms are standard but the air conditioning works well and we had a nice balcony. The breakfast was just ok, but the staff of the hotel were very nice and helpful. The resort is on a quiet street around the corner from several restaurants, cafes, bars and Alona Beach. Great location to have a quiet sleep, but nearby the action. Would recommend staying here.

Just got back from Bohol and stayed at the Golden Palm. First off the good: -The place is beautiful. -Rooms are nice and the bed is better than expected. -AC works fine so the room is cool. -Pools are nice but the main pool is where you will go since the small one in front of the rooms is more for looks. -The staff is friendly and the owner lives onsite and you see him eating dinner with the family every night. - We didn't eat there for dinner after the terrible breakfast experience so I can't speak to the food. Now for the Needs Improvement stuff: -Breakfast is included but not worth the time. Food is cold and limited - nothing like cold eggs and pancakes. They have heated pans but dont put flame pots under them so nothing stays warm. Ended up going offsite for food after the first day. -The road to get to the hotel is not near to town and is a rocky road and to get to the beach its a trek or you have to go through the Best Western where they may or may not let you do. -When checking in after travel they make you stand there and get lectured on the rules of the place (don't waste my time and treat me like an adult!) I had to pee! Pissed me off honestly -They don't have water bottles in the room and instead have a pitcher. Which would be fine if they refilled it, they don't. You have to do it yourself? Isn't housekeeping already in your room?

The resort was really nice. Surrounded with beautiful trees. It’s so green. Nice place for relaxation. The staff were great. The place alone is five stars. My only complaint was there was no access to the beach. You have to walk a quarter of a mile with some rocky road to get there
