Bad WiFi connection. Good location.
My mom, sis and I had a great stay in the hotel even though it's only for one night. The location is very accessible and it's very near to the famous places we love to visit the manila ocean park, luneta or the rizal park and the ermita church which is just at the back of the hotel. The room was clean and the facilities were good. The hotel staff entertained us well.
A nice, clean place and the staff are approachable.
Comfort room is not so clean, air-con is not so cold.
Though the place may look obsolete to most modern hotels and econtels set up but the service is exemplary. The perfect example of great customer service. Friendly, courteous, helpful and accommodating. An excellent place located right in the middle of the metro. Very accessible. Nothing to complain about but a 4 thumbs up.
More than 2 stars should be 3.
Based on our 3 days 2 nights stay, I think the regular price for their room was not equivalent to what service, room and facilities it should be. Pros: Accommodating Hotel Guards, receptionist and staff. Walkable going to Malls and some tourist spots in Manila. AC was good. Cons: WiFi was very poor, you can't even connect with that kind of connection (room at 2nd floor). You need to ask for their ip address first (but nonsense because even if you're connected it was too slow). Room is small for two person. Ambience is noisy because we heard people shouting and they were talking too loud, not hotel fault though! Overall, if you really want to relax and have a good stay, I suggest that you choose a good budget hotel around the area as I saw a lot there.
1. Room seemed dull and gloomy. 2. Bed frame was noisy every time I move. 3. Beddings were not washed properly. Had some stain and caused itchiness every time I lay down causing not to sleep nicely. 4. Towels need not to focus on putting more fabric conditioner, instead, check chemical concentration to whiten the fabric. 5. Walls were not designed to minimise noise. I can clearly hear noise, what they were talking and/or doing next to my room. However, good things are the following; 1. Requests were responded accordingly. 2. Receptionists on duty were polite. 3. Room temperature was great.
Very accommodating staff especially at the reception

Good Budget Hotel
Located in the heart of Ermita ... good place to stay when running business errand in the city, cheap, clean, however, horrible traffic during rush hours ... rooms doesn't have any windows, it's like a small prison room ... not good if you are claustrophobic, ... they do have a restaurant at the top and serves both local and western cuisine ... comfort room, clean and with good water, hot and cold supply

I was worried due to some negative reviews, but my stay was fine!
The Grand Prix hotel in Manila has a mix of good and bad reviews. Some of the bad reviews are quite bad, so I was worried about booking a room there. But I decided to give it a try anyway. What I encountered was absolutely fine. They hotel staff was friendly, the room was clean, the amenities (soap, shampoo, etc.) were all present, and so on. I stayed for 5 days and didn't have any problems at all. I suppose some negative reviewers may have valid complaints (maybe their room was indeed dirty or such). But I suspect some other negative reviewers are unrealistic: they're expecting 4+ star conditions at a 2 star hotel. At USD$20-25 per night, you can't expect top tier quality. Yes, I heard some noise down my hallway. Yes, there was a small hole in my sheet. And so on. But overall, my room was clean, my bed was comfortable, my shower/lights/tv all worked, and so on. So I was satisfied. .

Suites !!! ??? Minus 10 rating to this hostel !!!
I don't really know how they get away by calling this place a hotel / suites !!! This was booked via our travel agency otherwise I'd never booked this rundown hotel, or hostel rather . It's right next door to the lovely city state towers hotel where we booked all our tours and private car with driver . Choose them instead . It's smelly , damp , no windows in rooms , towels are grey and black not white ... Breakfast only ok ... You can't even move in the room , that small , no room for luggage . It's in an area that never sleeps which makes you leave with no sleep !!! Loud music / bars outside . Dodgy looking people ... Especially the families with kids please avoid this area . Stay in new town or in a better hotel . We've booked a two double room for three of us and none of us were happy . Luckily it was for a short period or we'd have changed hotels . 2 nights was more than enough with the third night we checked out early for a morning flight , we were so happy to get out of this place and in Manila in general ... did not feel safe at all . We traveled around south east /Far East Asia this being the worst city for our security. There seemed to be many spas only used for anything but spa facilities. Luckily we didn't dare to go into any !!! Although we desperately needed a foot massage we still waited until we got to Vietnam.... The old town was interesting and historic but would I ever come back to Manila ? Definitely a big NO !!! Feels too dirty and unsafe . Babies and small kids on the street , begging and sleeping on pavements. Heart breaking. New town however was very modern and Europe like !!! Huge contrast ... High end designer shops , museums , good eateries etc ... Only used taxis or private cars with drivers ( booked from city state towers hotel )which cost a small fortune .... Traffic is a nightmare. It can take up to 2-3 hours to get somewhere in the Manila City !!! Avoid avoid avoid !!! Can not , will not recommend this place to anyone ...

Terrible stay
Room was very dirty andnoisy. There is no restaurant close to it but they offered us to take their shuttle bus to Mall of Asia but we refused because their charge is expensive. Complimentary breakfast is not good because there were only 6 choices. Staying here with kids is not recommendable because there is no microwave and fridge available in the room.
