When we checked in, the receptionist was impolite. She keep on asking when did I book only to find out that they are fully booked that day, good thing I read a review and texted the mobile number posted on their facebook account and got a confirmation through text. My husband was about to search for the legal actions that we can do. We drove 4 hrs from Pasig and a refund would not be enough. We ended up getting a room with 3 beds. The food was okay however I saw the dirty nails of their chef. The beach was not maintained. They could have at least clean the part where the resort is located. The staff were not accommodating specially in the reception area.
Very bad experience and service, our family vacation was ruined during the holy week. I booked the room 3 weeks before when we arrived they advised us to wait for at least 1 hour and just to advised us that they wasn't able to reserve the room. Facilities were not maintained and food is bad, you need to wait for very long hours for your order and yet not presentable to eat.

Not so happy....
The winding roads of Kennon Road Baguio City down to San Fabian was quite an experience to behold especially for our foreign visitors. Well, that was the fun part. Arriving at Happy Ripples took all the fun away. We booked their biggest room (Capiz) which had two adjacent bathrooms and a separate bedroom, and another room for our teens on the second floor. There were no linens nor towels when we arrived, no toiletries provided. The room on the second floor reeked with the smell of fresh paint. Breakfast was disappointing. And to top it all, they do not accept payment by card. Paid 11K for a night's stay and checked out as early as possible the next morning, The place was clean and looks promising for those who want to get away from the hustles and bustles of city life. But in our case with teenagers and kids tagging along, wifi is a must and hot shower, a major plus.

Office out of town relaxation
We went for an overnight stay this May and stayed in their new studio rooms with 2 double beds. We already went here previously and decided to bring the staff and their families for yearly out of town trips. We enjoyed the pool and beach. The place is picturesque and combination of old fashion rooms and newly modern rooms. The new rooms have rain shower and nice bathrooms. Their Capiz rooms can accommodate families or groups with friends 5-8 persons. They have villas where you can bring food with you. The reception staff were so nice and accommodating. Breakfast is basic Filipino breakfast good for 2 persons per room. They also accept day tour guests. Every time we come here the garden and the place is always clean, so far in our 3x to visit. Overall,we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this place for families and friends for a beach getaway.

Good location, needs some more improvement in other aspects
Our group was composed of 7 adults and 2 kids. We booked two studio type rooms for April 14-15, 2017 (Holy Week). Pros: 1. Clear road signs were available so guests can easily find the resort. 2. Beach area was not crowded and it was away from the heavily populated beach area. 3. They have an in-house restaurant. Among the food that we ordered for dinner and breakfast, the pancit bihon was our favorite. You get a lot for the amount you paid. 4. The rooms we got were generally clean. 5. Resort staff were quick to respond when you seek assistance from them. Cons: 1. Given that it was summer and a holiday, we were surprised that they were still refilling the swimming pool when we arrived (Friday noon) until the time that we left the following day (Saturday noon). We heard another guest complain about it too. 2. Water pressure in the shower for our room was weak. 3. Breakfast serving was too small. 4. Aircon unit in our room took a long time to make our room cold compared to the other room we booked. Would be nice if they provided an electric fan for each room. 5. Due to limited parking space, we had a hard time getting out of the parking lot when we checked out around 11am since the vehicles of the day trip guests were blocking the way of the overnight guests. Would be nice if they designated spaces in the parking area where people are allowed to park and everyone would still be able to go out anytime they want.

A Co worker's Suggestion
We were brought here by one of our workmates to have our supposed to be team building activities but just few of my co workers had just attended. The place is just 5 hours away bus ride from manila. The resort is nice. Very peaceful and staffs are very accomodating. The beach is ok although the sand is not powdery white, its literally black but waters is fine not that kind of waters that stinks (i remember the manila bay) lol so its still enjoy to dip in :)

Customer Service at its Best.
I booked 4 studio rooms in this resort because it earned good reviews on TripAdvisor. Reservation was fast over the phone, just 2 days from our scheduled visit. Since the resort had only us for their guests, we were allowed an early check in at 1 pm. The kids were already jumping on the pool even before we can get into our rooms, thanks to the friendly frontdesk officer who allowed them. The pool is quite small though. Studio rooms come with one double bed and a single bed, complete with a kitchen countertop, 2 sinks and very spacious cabinets. The CR/bathroom is also clean and well-ventilated. This place is quite new, well-maintained and well kept. There is a TV but no cable connection. Water from the faucets and shower was strong, although it had that rusty smell which is typical for accommodations near the beach. Cooking is not allowed but we are thankful to their kitchen staff who willingly cooked for us, saving us the hassle of cooking or looking for anywhere else to eat. No corkage. They charge very reasonable cooking rates (per kilo of each kind), considering that they let us use their plates, utensils and dining areas (with free ice cold water). For lunch and dinner, we were accommodated in their rounded pavilion. Breakfast which came free for an overnight stay were served at the viewdeck by three of their staff (we had sunnyside up eggs, medium sized boneless bangus, rice and coffee). We even asked for additional food to be cooked and they were ready as soon as we got there. Our viewdeck dining experience is lovely, with the sight of cows grazing from afar, the sea breeze that blows your hair, boats passing by and the serene sound of the ocean on an early morning. The whole resort is very suitable for family gatherings but could be too small for several guests coming in at the same time. I heard they are planning to build another pool, that will be a great plus. More accommodations are also being constructed. The best thing about Happy Ripples is their service. It is yet the most relaxing stay I had in all the resorts I've been to. Minor glitches could not come in the way of the happy and friendly people in this resort for which I give them an excellent rating. Even the resort owner Sir Pinlac volunteered to give us a discount in our stay, to our delight. Thank you Happy Ripples, were enjoyed your very hospitable, warm and affordable accommodation.
